Withstood direct fire well and cooked on it with ease. Will use cast iron pan next time but no problems to relay.

Thank you for your excellent service, packaging, and shipping. We received our campfire tripod within hours of ordering. We look forward to using it with our new Dutch Oven over our fire pit. I would order another in the future. We highly recommend Amazon and this stand. Best!

We loaded heavy pots of stew and heavy cast iron skillets too. No issues so far. The welds and steel are still holding strong after the first season of use. No bending, buckling or splitting so far. We are happy with this tripod cooking stand.

Well built and easy to store. Great for starting fires and for cooking over coals once you get it going. Too heavy for backpacking but great to keep on a rig or in a camping box.

Very useful little tripod, pan holder if you like cooking over a campfire. This is a well made little product, with the exception that it does have a coating on it, which peels off, when heated, which does trouble me a bit. I would of preferred just basic cast iron or untreated steel. That is just me though. No major, problem just heat it good and let it peel and clean it off.It is fairly sturdy and reasonably stable. It will hold a large or small cast iron skillet or whatever you can set on top of it. The more overhang, the less stable of course, yet a large skillet is no real problem. The height is about 10 inches and because of the tripod leg design, you can set this in your fire, however works best for you. The legs just simple screw in and you can take it apart and put it back together in less than a minute, easy!I put this directly in a fire to check and maker sure the joints would not expand or deform, and it came out just fine. Should make a good addition to the cooking gear and takes a up little space. Does have a little weight to it, not something for backpacking.

Not all heat resistant black paint is created equally. This doesn't cut it at all. I'd happily trade the black paint for some rust. I started to strip the paint but...ugh, I don't have the time. It's otherwise very sturdy and would have been perfect for my needs. But the paint and fumes are a deal breaker.
