I like that this actually works for me. I live in a RV full-time. I had a leaky RV hot water heater. I found that It was more economical to replace my built in RV hot water heater with this. I do not need the propane that is part of my built-in Hot water heater. This does NOT blow my 15 amp fuse. That was a major concern. I moved my pex pipe and electric to a cabin that is in a different spot as it will not fit into the small space where the old hot water was. Make sure the 1/2 connections are wide enough to fit over the ntp plastic connections the are on the camplux. I found that what I had which is correct 1/2 NTP but I needed to go and get a different connection as I could not thread over the plastic threads to wide for my 1/2 NTP, Just check that first as what I had you could easily put over a aluminum connection on the stock tank. That is not a show stopper and it took no time to find what fit. What I found was this. My old hot water heater using electric only, this is the compare. It was a 6 gallon tank. This one from Camplux is a 6.5 Gallon heater. I picked this because I need a high temperature, such as 135 Fahrenheit. I only care really about hot water and showers. The old hot water was at 140 degrees set and you can not change it unless you buy new parts. So I could take a 10-minute hot shower. You just have to in the RV get used to turning the cold on to about 90 percent and 10 percent hot water, and it works like any other shower. You of course can not in any way stand under pure hot water. So would this work for a shower, I hoped. I hooked everything up. What I was really happy about is that the Camplux is insulated very well and no heat comes off of it. Most RV hot water heaters use Styrofoam as the insulator. It looked like a igloo cooler as that's standard as well as feeling the heat just come off of the built in heater just float into the house . I also picked this because you can turn the temperature to MAX which is 135 Degrees as far as my thermometer is showing. This allows for a long shower as cold showers well are not fun. So with the Camplux I can take the exact same shower. My thoughts are no heat is coming off this Camplux heater as its well insulated. It has a light that comes on when its heating. So far the light is off most of the time and that tells me it's not struggling to maintain my temperature I need. NO fuses are blowing as stated 1400 what's which is under my 15 amp limit. I also decided to add a few new filters in front of my water supply as I apparently have iron in my water as the old hot water tank was full of the orange material. After a few weeks now, I am happy. For those who need to use the Hot water as a main shower in the RV this works great as it is very close to what is already installed. Can not say how happy I am that this holds up to what I had that is broke now my old hot water tank it had a slow leak and after months I figured it out. Also the recovery time is pretty fast just as well as the old heater.

We installed this handy little water heater in our trailer for cooking competition and it works great. Plenty of hot water and no pressure loss from heater to sink. We will see how long it lasts. We just installed it 2 days ago.

Compact unit fit easily under kitchen sink. Weighs almost nothing and has a handy slide-on wall bracket for quick mounting and a filter washer included. See pic for size reference. It's small but mighty.Running at 1.2 gpm, inlet temp water at 74 degrees rose to 120 degrees in less than 10 seconds. Using two bbq thermometers for calibration, I found the displayed water temp to be accurate within 1 degree. It will keep the water at a consistent temperature down to a .25 gpm trickle. I can't vouch for the durability, but so far it has been a perfect kitchen sink solution since my other tankless water heater is about 30 feet away in my shed with underground lines and requires a stronger 1.0 gpm flow to stay in operation. Also, the installation instructions do not mention it, but the Camplux product info page states that on initial operation a 15 minute warm up period may be necessary. On first try I almost thought my unit was a dud and flipped the breaker and double checked my wiring. All were correct. Even with the self-monitoring code display this is not mentioned. After a few minutes, I was good to go and it's been smooth sailing since. If you are installing this unit you MUST use 10/2 with ground feeder wire hooked directly to a 2 pole 30 amp GFCI breaker for safety's sake. Not a cord and socket. 12/2 wire is not sufficient to carry 30 amps and water mixed with electricity should always have ground fault protection. Blue and Orange big box stores charge around $120 for 50 ft of wire and about $125 plus for the breaker. Amazon has the same wire for around $70 (look around) and an Eaton / Cutler -Hammer (BRN230GF) 2 pole 30 amp GFCI breaker for about $59 (Sept 2024). The breaker fits most newer power panels except for Square D.I am very happy with my purchase and wish I would have made the upgrade sooner. Will report back in a few months to hopefully say the same!

Update 07/03/24The seller responded & was extremely helpful & quick response, they sent us a copy of the manual on the adjustment procedure, so we adjusted the temp to the 66°c mark & the water is nice & hot now, but very satisfied, still no pilot light or on/off switch, wired it to a 20 amp rated plug cord, it is just for a temporary period.Very disappointed in the 10 gallon water heater, first there is NO on off switch? There is NO pilot light indicating whether it's on? The water is not even Luke warm, it just above cold, it is only piped to a shower (tempary) & is only 12 feet from shower head to water heater, for the price very disappointing.

Este calentador de agua lo instalé en la cocina, funciona muy bien, un poco complicado para su instalación, lo que si se requiere es un manual mas ilustrativo y en español.

We installed this at our cabin and were able to take the massive water heater out of that space and put this in allowing us to turn the space into a pantry. It delivers HOT water fast and is enough for a quick shower. We mostly just do dishes and wash hands. It's a great unit and easy to install.
