Easy to set up and run - I followed the advice from a couple reviews and put a clamp over the hot water outflow hose so it would stay in the bucket (so I can be confident walking away for a few minutes), and I zip-tied an old sock on the end of the hot water hose to catch anything sold that came out. After 10 minutes of running, the water went from clear to black. That tells me it's working properly.So far, so good. The only issue which seems to be a packaging issue, is that the solution leaked inside (and out) of the container - the shipping package was damp, and the entire inside of the bucket was wet, to the point where the instructions were plastered to the inside of the bucket (and mostly unreadable), and the silicate packet (to absorb moisture, lol) in the bucket was wet enough where it fell apart and there were silicate balls all over the inside of the bucket.

This was a good system everything arrived well packaged.Setup was simple just follow the instructions included or of course supplied by your water heater manufacturer took about 10 minutes.However once the pump had been working for about 10 minutes it stopped working. I thought initially that maybe something was in the bottom blocking it but then I realized it wasn't working at all. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and it started again but 5 minutes later the same thing. I continued in this fashion with this pump stopping every 5 minutes or so until I had at least finished the flush.I will be sending it back due to the faulty pump I do not want to be mucking about with water and electricity every 5 minutes.I would recommend this system hoping that the one you buy actually has a good pump.

Instructions are clear, equipment works well, doing it yourself is easy(*). I have nothing to complain about. Given it's going to be used once every year or two, I can't say anything about durability.They should have added in the instructions to clean the water filter if you have one on your unit (see middle pic). There were a few light debris in mine.(*): It's easy if you have an installation with service valves and hose fittings to attach the hoses to (see pic with multiple green arrows).

We chose to purchase this over calling in for a service call, why pay $150+ every year when you buy this once and you're set. I am not a handy person and usually have difficulties following instructions but this was incredibly straight forward to use as long as you don't skip any steps. I am very pleased with this purchase and have no anxieties to do this myself in the future.
