The CAMVATE 15mm Rod Shoulder Mount Rig for DSLR is an adjustable dual handle system that lets you position handgrips at desired height, angle and distance. The rig features with 15mm LWS rod clamps for follow focus and any other accessories, and also many Rosette Standard Accessory which allow you to adjust the rig in almost limitless positions. I was looking for a well made, dependable grip system for my DSLR rig. I've used very cheap grips and very expensive grips and wanted something in-between. These fit that bill. They feel solid, the locking mechanism works well and I like the small form factor for packing away in a backpack. I've also had good experiences with CAMVATE products in the past. I did have to tighten down some of the hex screws that hold the plates down out of the box, but I see that as an acceptable compromise for the price. I would recommend these to anyone wanting capable grips on a budget.

Love everything but the cheap aluminum screws they used to hold the rosette plates. If they are loose and you try to tighten them, they strip easy.

These are very impressive quality, especially for the price. I would put them side by side to a lot of the very high end pro-level handles I’ve used and these would stand beside them, and for some be much better....and at 1/10th of the price.

Does exactly what you’d expect it to do. I have a pretty heavy shoulder rig and I will said that the spacing of the handles would be more comfortable FOR ME if they a touch wider. When I’m not using a matte box or external monitor it is perfect. I’m using a pretty heavy camera setup with a 5d iv and a tamron 24-70 g2 which is a girthy lens. Overall for the price it really can’t be beat.

The handles feel great initially but out of the box, the screws holding the teeth onto the center part of the bar were ALL loose. I finally got a screw driver to tighten them, and some were already stripped inside and the handles were impossible to make secure. It has such great potential, they just need to fix that because it makes the handles wobbly and makes the whole product unusable unfortunately.
