Terrific core for a rig system, it has just about all you need to get going, but can be "pimped out" depending on your needs. I have already expanded mine, it takes standard 15mm rig fittings.The "shoulder pad" that comes with it is really just a chest/shoulder brace, I had to add my own shoulder pad, but it works as-is for smaller loads. I also added a top handle cage for mounting lights and mics.I'm giving it 5 stars because it's well-made and can expand easily as your photo needs change, and the price is good for a starter rig. Recommended.

This is surprisingly sturdy especially considering how light it is. It is comfortable and very stable. It is highly adjustable and modular so it works for a lot of different applications.

Arrived in 2 days and it was easy to assemble, took about an hour with no instructions. Just common sense and the digram.. It's steady and strong, I'm glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews, it works for my camera, the black magic cinma.. I my add to my rig later, but if you looking for a run in gun rig for a friction of the price as some more popular, then I would recommend.. a hundred bucks is a steal...

I run a small Video Production Co. on a very tight Budget, the SunSmart DSL Movie Rig definitely fit our Bottom Line perfectly! It makes shooting videos for longer periods of time very comfortable. My camera uses a 7" monitor and bettery setup that adds a few more lbs., but I hardly notice it now on my shoulder! Very easy to adjust and put together. Great build very sturdy and does not feel cheap or flimsy. It makes a huge difference with stabilizing your video shoot. Gives you more command when shooting as opposed to holding camera separately.

This set up really enhanced the performance capabilities of my Lumix camera. Especially while shooting when the sun is low (ideal for lighting conditions and dreaded lens flares). However, the barn doors let me shot now from angles previously unattainable. Stability is still an issue for me though. As its current setting leaves too much forward loading. Mostly because I've yet to find hardware or a usable means of counter-weighing the shoulder system. PS - stipulating thread patterns would be nice.

I used this rug during Pride Week in Atlanta. I quickly learned that you can use this rig in so many ways, and angles. Very lightweight. I carried it for 6 hours with NO discomfort. ( I'm Disabled, with Lupus, a very painful neurological ailment). My videos came our shameless, and very smooth. I really like the Rig!!! Now the downsude... I only have 1. THEIR ARE NO WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS OF ANY TYPE....???. I had to use the picture to put the rig together. It's not as easy as it may seem. Some of the rig parts are not easily installed due to the lack of INSTRUCTIONS. I would give 5 stars if these were available.

Definitely more than I expected. The look of the setup alone with my camera really amped up my productivity. After putting in all together and testing it out it did everything I needed it to do. The matte box and follow focus helped with what I needed and I didn’t have to buy a separate system.

Bought this as a gift for someone who is making some short amateur films. I must say how impressed the recipient was after assembly and after seeing the product in use I was too. For the price it is very well made and very easy to assemble. I would recommend this to anyone who is is need for this type of item.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Rig. Verarbeitung ist für dem Preis sehr gut. Ein Manko ist leider das die Schulterplatte sich schnell löst und der Bogen recht eng ist was bei dickeren schultern nicht so gut passt. Was dem ganzen aber nicht so stark ins Gewicht fällt da der Preis echt günstig ist gegenüber vergleichbarer Produkte. Für Hobby Filmer Top geeignet.

Overall this is a great sturdy item and with certain exceptions, it is relatively easy to assemble. Nonetheless there are two issues with this item. First the shoulder rest is awkward and really do not fit my shoulder well. It makes holding my camera difficult and uncomfortable since I cannot get the should rest to fit me correctly. The other issue are the instructions. Instructions I received did not include focus ring and left me scrambling for information on how to attach. My advice for the price it is worth it but do not expect it to meet all of your expectations.
