  • Note Compatibility(Tips:Not for ARC interfaces of Soundbar,but only for Optical or Coaxial): Compatible with ARC interface , Incompatible with the eARC and regular HDMI interface ; Make sure to use the included standard 19+1 HDMI cable ; Incompatible with 5.1 channel Audio (e.g. Dolby AC3), Incompatible with Sound bar's ARC interfaces
  • Set PCM/ LPCM Before Using: Please set the TV audio output to PCM or LPCM before using the converter ARC input interface, ARC intput interface only for connecting TV ,not for connecting the sound equipment
  • Power Supply Interface: DC 5V 1A USB Type-c cable connect to the Audio Extractor and the other end connect to the TV for power (Tips: No plug and needn’t plug for power)
  • Input and Output: Input-- ARC Input port (Connects to the ARC interface of the TV, does not fit for HDMI and eARC) ; Output-- Optical Output: Optical digital audio output interface (connects to audio amplifier when using); Coaxial Output: Coaxial digital audio output interface (connects to audio amplifier when using)

1. About Soundbar --When you connect to the Soundbar,Pls note it Only for “Optical/Coaxial” interfaces,Not for “ARC” interface of Soundbar.

2. About 5.1 Audio--Not compatible with 5.1 channel Audio (e.g. Dolby AC3)

3. About TV --Incompatible with the TV with " eARC" or regular "HDMI" interface.Just compatible with the TV with "ARC" interface.

Please check is your TV interface "eARC" or "HDMI" or ""ARC" interface and your Soundbar's interface before.

When using ARC input, the TV setting method varies by brand (the name and settings of CEC differ for each brand, please refer to the TV's user manual):

A. Samsung TV setting method: Step1) Enable Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC): Menu---Settings---General---External Device Manager---Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)---ON; Step2) PCM format: Settings---Sound---Expert Settings---Audio Format---PCM; Step3) External speaker: Settings---Sound---Select Speaker---HDMI ARC

B. LG TV setting method:

Step1) Enable Simplink (HDMI-CEC): Menu---All Settings---Connection---HDMI Device Settings---Simplink (HDMI-CEC)---ON; Step2) PCM setting method: Menu---All Settings---Sound Out---Optical---Digital Sound Out---PCM; Step3) External speaker: Menu---All Settings---Sound Out---HDMI ARC

It works ! I can now control my volume with TV remote. I'm using a Fosi BT20A amplifier hooked to two book shelf speakers . Couldn't be happier.

Worked perfect! Plugged in supplied Hdmi & Power USB directly into the TV. Didn't use supplied RCA adapter, plugged my speakers directly into the 3mm plug. Voila! Didn't have to touch any settings on my TV (Vizio VFD32M-0897).
