There's nothing to complain about! No noticeable decrease in sound quality or volume. It's as easy as plug and play. If I need to convert optical to analog, I'll be buying another one of these.

I have a great set of Edifier powered speakers that connect via Bluetooth or RCA jacks. My Samsung TV has optical audio but no RCA. My great speakers sounded sad with Bluetooth. I almost decided to buy new speakers but decided to try this first. This very inexpensive optical to RCA converter works great. Just plug it in and it works. My speakers sound wonderful again.

Gets the sound to amplifier but doesn’t connect with the TV remote which is a bummer..

It works well but was not expecting that it would need its own power. I also get a slight echo if I don’t mute the tv. For the price it does a good job.

Tried using it but would randomly cause my TV to turn off. I would hear a clicking/sparking sound and then the TV would turn off.

I used this to run audio out of my tv. My old stereo receiver had no HDMI or digital inputs and this worked perfectly using the digital out on the tv to RCA inputs on the receiver. Now my Sherwood Newcastle receiver can keep on rocking into the future !

Did exactly what it's supposed to do. Optical output from a TV, converted signal to input on an amp with RCA plugs. Sound is great. Cords were long enough to connect to a standard sort of setup.
