I got a box of these, and really didn't expect much. The scent of the candle is very mild, but what truly sold me was the fact that, in a votive glass holder, this candle burned completely, not leaving any trace of wax. I am not sure why, but I have burned many of these and have never had to clear out the holder except for the metal wick stand.

Came well protected with no broken items. Scent is strong and pleasant. I can't comment on whether they drive away the bugs, because its dead winter here. But the scent is very strong even without being lit and being located in another room. Everything reflects quality or purpose product shipping, product packaging, product appearance. No frills cardboard package that kept each candle in order. Everything I expected, and nothing I didn't. Highly recommended for its value.

Candles are good --- BUT Amazon delivery was sub-par. The unprofessional delivery person dropped the package on the steps of my porch and our Neiborhood has porch thieves. He could have taken 3 more steps and placed it in an area out of site from the street, but he was too lazy to take the extra effort. We were out of town when the package was delivered, and it set out in plain view for 2 days. Complained to Amazon but I don't think they really care.

These burn well and work well. Don’t expect a single candle to keep mosquitoes off your patio but when you burn six or so, they really make a difference. Burn time is similar to any other wax votive. Recommend.

When the box arrived I knew right away what was in it because I could smell it. If you like citronella, as I do, this will be a positive. If you don't, well, you ordered citronella candles and that's what you got.These votives do not have the tin liners that the tea lights have, so you will have to find something to put them into, otherwise the wax will run away from you when you burn them. I simply put mine into a used tin liner from a tea light and it worked beautifully without causing a mess.I use these candles while camping. I keep one burning in a lantern in my tent to keep mosquitoes out and it works. I light the candle just before dark and keep it burning all night so the tiny beasts stay and get out of my tent. I also light a couple of them around my camp. They last several hours if you don't blow them out and relight them, which seems to reduce their burning time.Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Why is it so hard to find a well-made votive candle for a reasonable price? These are not quality candles.I was hopeful, as these votives are made of solid wax, rather than pressed powdered wax with a hard wax shell. And, the rustic color was nice.HOWEVER: The burn performance of these candles is subpar. An hour into the burn, the flame is so tiny that I must pour off some of the wax to increase the size of the flame. Even still, the flame quickly becomes tiny again. The problem is that the wick is too small. I tried replacing the wicks with some higher-quality candlemaking wicks I had, and then the candles burned well.Another problem - many of the wick holes are off-center. Most of the wicks are centered at the top but can be more than 1/8" off-center at the bottom. This puts the candle flame right next to the votive container toward the end of the burn, which overheated and cracked one of my glass containers.I hoped these would be decent votives, but I won't be buying them again. Too many flaws!

Liked that I could get that number of votives in red. Only place they were available. Love that they were postage free. A present for daughter who burns them throughout December and was delighted.
