I purchased this set to try the new butter candle trend. Worked perfectly. Washed up in the dishwasher top rack before use - no problem. Made several molds, the butter candle slipped right out. These are reusable! I made a separate purchase of food safe beeswax wicks and wick holders to keep the wick in the center as the butter cools. Both are essential purchases if you plan to make butter candles! Burned without burning the butter, slowly and evenly. FYI: I did add some herbs and seasoning to the melted butter candle process - I had been worried about them burning - but they did not. Most of the recipes I viewed said to put the melted butter into a paper or wax cup and freeze- then tearing them out of the cup and throwing the cup away. That is 'one use' thing (which I try to avoid) and these silicone molds can be used over and over again - reducing landfill waste in my opinion. Would fully recommend these molds for any food project - but especially the butter candle trick. TIP: the butter candle slips right out of the mold, either by squeezing from the bottom or rolling the sides a bit to grasp. Also, you'll want to start the candle about 20 mins before beginning to dip into the butter wax. Enjoy! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
