Please trim the wick prior to lighting. If the exposed wick becomes too long as the candle burns, blow out the candle and let it cool. Trim the wick again before re-lighting.

I bought this from my granddaughter who received lots of candles for Christmas. Just yesterday she showed me that she is using it and loves it. I have one myself and think it’s great for when the wax is low in the bottom of the jar and you need to trim the wick. Scissors can’t get that far down in a jar.

Wish it was sharper for cleaner cuts, but I can sharpen the edge. No more scissors that cut at an angle or drop burned wick end into jar candle. Buy this!

These trimmers work pretty well. The only con is that it is not long enough for Yankee Candle's large pillars once the wax gets low.

I burn candles every night and I’m always covered with black from the WIC when I’m trying to cut them this makes it so easy to just cut the work and throw it in the garbage. Because there’s is flat space once you cut the wick that holds it until you can get rid of it. It’s a great product

Everyone who uses jar candles should have one of these. Candle wicks need to be cut to keep them safe from causing black smoke, damage to the jar, and in rare cases potential fires. It's worth the investment.

Finger holes too small. OK for cutting burned wick, but not very sharp otherwise. Still not a bad deal. Better than reaching in with regular scissors for sure.

It looks a bit like a speculum from a Pap smear & I shudder every time I look at it. It’s much easier though than trying to crane scissors in the right direction to cut the wick perfectly. I love it!

The quality is good, sturdy. But did I get a dud? There’s no way this cuts anything. One reviewer said it cuts a wooded wick?? No way. This basically knocks off the burnt nub of the cotton wick and that’s all. I really should have sent this back. I can do a better job with a pair of kitchen shears. I hope the company will reach out to me and fix what’s wrong here and I can change my review. Based on the performance of this trimmer I received, do not buy.
