How to work
- Just put the chain ring on the top of the pliers, and then hold the handle with both hands and press it inward
- They work with up to 3-gauge chains. Tip has three positions to accommodate different chain sizes.
- Smooth red vinyl grips for comfortable handling.

I am very happy with this tool! I was doubtful as to whether it would work as well as purported but it does! With hands and wrists rife with arthritis (and not so strong anymore) it is dificult for me to to accomplish tasks that require strength in one's hands. I tried using other tools to open the links on the chain for my light fixture and could not complete the task. This tool worked like a breeze, and easily closed the link again. I would highly recommend this tool!

This is one of this rarely used tools, but great to have when you need it. I was destroying the chain on our new kitchen light with pliers and was told to stop and find a better option. Found these and with one day delivery the light was up the next night. It’s a clever little tool and works great with no damage to the chain. It will open the link and then close it back to where it was. Will go in the toolbox, but a must have for an electrician or get it to use once or twice, it’s worth it.

This is a must have if you are an electrician doing service work. I’ve in the few weeks of owning them have used them only about 5 times but having to use lineman’s and or channel locks that make scratch’s all over the chain especially when your adding chain were its easily seen isn’t good either. This is super easy to use and makes the job faster for sure. They are built well and if lost I would buy again. Thank you!

I bought this for my Habitat for Humanity Restore electrical repair department. We deal with chandelier chains quite a lot. It does a great job of opening and closing links without damage.

I lost a 20yr old pair of these, so ordered a replacement. The edges could have been finished a little better, but overall they're great tools. Already put them to use.

I recently installed a candelabra with a chain link. This tool was great. Reasonably priced, it did an excellent job without injuring the chain links for those who are perfectionists. Regular pliers did not work well without damaging the chain link. Too bad I won't likely use this tool for another 10-years, but was well worth the price.
