I bought this to use as a stand alone for my office. I connect it with a printer cable when I want to use and it works great. I did not sign up for auto delivery cartridges or WiFi printing. It was easy to set up and use. I have it on my desk as it fits in the space. It’s not tiny but it is not super heavy or clunky like some printers. I got this on sale so great value! Came in a large box with extra packing material.

I love this printer after using it for a couple of years. The printer starts up quickly and prints quickly producing clear, crisp prints in B&W or color. The cartridges snap in easily when changing is necessary. I am using the wireless connection method to my Wi-Fi network which connects to all my computers - two desktops and several laptops. The driver is easy to install and once installed provides for various telemetry and optional settings. I know I am not using all the sophisticated features of this printer, but the one I have used and like very much is the automatic double sided printing features which saves paper and negates the need to manually flip the paper over to print the odd or even sides. There was one occasion where the printer would not power up, but a quick search revealed that a hard reboot will fix the issue and it did. That error only occurred once and it was probably caused by my "dirty" power lines. Overall very happy with this printer.

Other customers complain about setup and I have to agree it isn't the easiest setup. But I have other canon printers and this one sets up in a similar way so I was already prepared for it. Once you get past the setup this thing is really great. Printing is quick and easy. The quality is great. It communicates well with multiple devices making it easy to print directly from the phone or computer. For a color laser printer this is a great option.

You would think that in 2024 getting a network-attached printer to print from a modern OS like Windows 11 would be trivial right? Unfortunately that's not the case.First problem: This printer refuses to work with my wireless network. I have a Wifi 6 mesh system in my house and this printer sits less than 4 feet away from the main unit. It can detect the wifi network with no issues, but rejects my password EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've even tried changing the network password to 1234 to make mistyping it literally *impossible* but each time the printer will tell me that the wifi password is not correct (spoiler alert: it is not). This is the ONLY network device I have bought in the past 10+ years that I've had trouble getting to connect to wifi, and it's supposed to be easier than ever these days.Okay fine- I'll connect it wired- like I said, the device is 5 feet away from the router so I'll just plug it in. Network detected, great! Now I'll just set up an IP reservation for this device so it always has the same local IP address.. nope, my router doesn't see it. Like it literally _does not show up_ in the list of clients, even though the printer says it's connected. So even though it's 2024 and I've bought a _wireless_ printer, I'm stuck with a ridiculously long USB cord and using windows printer sharing so everybody on my network can print. Absolute disappointment.

Was hesitating to purchase due to the reviews but overall I’m content with the printer. Had the printer for about few weeks, easy installation, connected to the app which is so efficient for quick print. It’s perhaps a little louder than other laser printer but it’s definitely not a game changer and it’s a color printer. Can’t beat the price

Regarding noise I don't think the Canon printer is that loud. I just finished a Christmas letter, two pages front and back (three pages of pictures), 27 copies in our small home office and it did not run me out of the room. It was very quick, and the pictures were good (photo included in the review was taken on an overcast day). The Canon was relatively simple to setup. Our PC located the wireless printer without issue, but our laptop had issues running the CD with the software for the printer. Our laptop has no internal CD drive, so I use an external drive which had been seamless until now. Not a major issue as the web address to download the software is printed in the installation manual. very pleased with the printer!!

I've been wanting a laser printer forever, and I'm happy I got this one. I was switching from HP because I am sick of their pay-to-print forced subscription model. This one allows any cartridges, prints great, and is a great size for my small home office. So far, connectivity has been stable and consistent.Setting it up on my MacBook Pro was relatively easy, but printing from my Pixel phone was more difficult. I fought with the Cannon app for far too long before I read an online tip to use the Mopria app. It worked beautifully the first time. So, if you are having difficulty with remote printing, try Mopria (not a paid advertisement, just your average user who wants to print from my phone :-).

We had this printers predicesor in the MDF version for years and loved it. It was quite and great print quality until the fuser failed. The Fuser was bad and it cost more than a new printer so we bought this one because we really didnt need to scan copy or fax. The Inage quality is awesome but when you send a print job there is ALOT of motor and gear noise. For a home office it was annoing enough to disturb online meetings. after a few prints It stopped printing with an error that related to the fan not spinning at the correct speed. so we had to send it back. We purchased the comperable Brother printer and it is so quite the paper comming out was the loudest part of printing, nthe picture inage quality of the Brother doesnt compair but for most documents and invoices its fine.
