Good options came with it. I think it will work for me. The only two draw backs are the very small camera case that comes with it. It will not let you carry the tripod that came with the set in it and the lack of any directions concerning the lenses and the real use of the camera. Just basics. So i recommend you get after market books to help learn about the camera if you are like me and just learning. I am used to film cameras, really miss my minoltas.

I took a chance just buying this online without seeing it in person, but I really like the camera. It fits well in the hand, is a little bit complicated to use but I am learning. It came with everything you need to get you started.

My third Rebel. The first 2 were great for starters, then I upgraded to better Canon Dslrs. I have been without any real camera for a few years, and haven't done any professional work in a while, so I decided this would be sufficient for my current purposes.The lenses in the kit are good quality ... the goofy extended one doesn't compare with my old 300x - but fortunately, that's compatible.Although I like the lighter weight for hiking, I wonder if it's durable enough. Time will tell.
