I was constantly running over the cap with the square extended top, which most people are familiar with. Every time I would replace the cap I would forget and clip it off again So, I searched Amazon and found this item. It prevents the non-head cap from being clipped off by my lawn mower.

I cracked out the plug but still had enough left to thread this in. In addition to being the cheapest solution IT LIES FLAT. It doesn't stick out. Hopefully I won't hit it again with the mower.

It is a flush cap from Canplas. But instead of a slot like in photo online, it is a square "birdbath" with 4 "spas" around it. It will just hold a lot of water and/or dirt if outside at ground level. Mosquitoes breed with a drop of water. So maybe I will cover with dirt and hope for the best. Hope I can find later if grass grows in it too. But then will need mini tools get dirt and grass out later so I can get something in the center hole to twist it open and close.

Like some other customers, our cap arrived not with a slot, but with a countersunk 4 sided hole that no tool on the planet that Ive ever seen matches. So, we are returning and getting a brass one that claims to have a slot.

It's PVC. It's a 4" screw in plug. It worked. What more needs to be said.
