I purchased the orange rack - 1) because orange is my favorite color, and 2) because it was also the cheapest. I've have needed some heavier weights for a while, and I really wanted some hex weights. Getting the full set with a rack that allows you to store them efficiently is a plus. Weights (and gym equipment in general) have been so expensive since the pandemic. I was thrilled to get this full set for what I consider a bargain price (probably about 50% of the cost of similar sets) with free shipping. the set came in 4 boxes over two days - I sure felt bad for the delivery guy! The weights are packaged so that 3 of the boxes each holds 50 lbs (2 X 25, 2 X 20 + 2 X 5, and 2 X 15 + 2 X 10). The 4th box contained the rack parts with instructions and tools to put it together. I had it assembled in about 20 minutes, and it's perfectly sturdy to hold all these weights. The weights felt slightly oily out of the box and had a faint odor (chemical? plastic? metal?), but the odor is quickly dissipating. They are perfect hex weights - well balanced and grippy without being too rough on your palms. I did not check the weights themselves to make sure they are exactly correct on poundage - they seem close enough, and that's all I need. I've already used everything but the 5's - and I'll get around to them eventually too.

Idk why but the weights with colored rack is like $20-$30 cheaper than black rack so of course I jumped on the cheaper version. Everything from CAP is top tier so going cheaper isn't a bad thing here. First the Dumbbells: Great weight, weighted just as described (going off of memory from gym times) and plentiful. Only thing I didn't like was the out of factory oil that was on them but a towel and a few disinfectant wipes and they're right as rain. They did also come with the new factory smell but that didn't bother me personally. I knew once out of package the smell starts to dissipate.The Rack: As I said, the colored racks are cheaper than standard black (idk why) so choose whichever color you'd like. I went with red. A bit annoying to put together because extra tools are required but once put together its great. Lightweight yet strong. Comes with rubber guards to protect your hands from getting nicked when taking weights on and off of the rack. For the amount of weight and the rack you get for the price, its perfect for any home gym. Gyms are starting to get expensive and crowded so you're better off making a home gym. This'll be a great addition to it. No need to spend an arm and a leg for a set of dumbbells. CAP got you covered. For the price of the Dumbbells and Rack, its about an entire month or even 2 months worth of your gym membership and you get to keep the weights so think about it.

Dumbbells were absolutely filthy, had to spend a long time cleaning them off. Stand wasn’t super easy to put together but not hard. You’ll need a wrench. Overall good for the price, the weights are weights

I just put my set together and it is exactly as shown on the sales page, no problem putting the rack together. Very nice, dumbbells coated properly.When I owned my health club I never weighed the weights but for this review I thought I would.The 20# dumbbell weighed exactly 23.8 lbs and the 25# dumbbell weighed in at 28.6.I believe that the additional weight comes from the handle because it is a nice beefy handle.So, there ya go. I didn't bother weighing the others. I hope this helps you guys decide on this set. It is really nice and go ahead and order yourselves a nice comfortable pair of workout gloves. I wish I had.

The set came in four boxes. I opened and assembled the rack first. The plastic bags the rack parts were in are the strongest smelling off gassing I think I've ever encountered. I assembled the rack and put it in the bathroom with a fan and open window.Two days later I found that the rubber protectors were also off gassing. I then reexamine the dumbbells as I just looked quickly at them and closed the bixes back up. Not only are they covered in oil (not a deal breaker as I can wash off oil) but the "rubber" coating smells strongly.I live in a studio apartment so this set is supposed to sit in my living space but I can't put this set in here.I tried contacting customer service, both phone numbers went to voicemail that said to email them (what do they do with messages left). So I filled out their form on the website (basically emailing them) and am currently waiting for a response. Will update.Update. Quick response but unfortunately they simply stated to return to merchant. And that the corners are not rounded, which is strange to add something unrelated like that and is actually what I told them. Their reading comprehension is poor.And to boot, even though the dumbbell was in the bathroom only for half an hour, the smell was so overwhelming it gave me a headache just retrieving the two dumbbells and rack to pack up. Literally under a minute of exposure. Then I realized that's why the dumbbell boxes were lined with plastic.

Love these!!! Only one workout so far but I'm very impressed with these! Exactly what I needed at a really decent price too. Only complaint is they leave my hands a little dirty but I expected it since that happens at the gym too. Otherwise I would buy these again!!

Great dumbells for a home gym. Way cheaper than other options and they're very well made. Wish we went for this earlier rather than those adjustable ones...

This is a great set. But the smell from the rubber coating is strong. I washed with dawn dish soap a couple of times then coated with baking sofa and let them air outside for a couple of days. It helped.
