I bought these to add tie down hooks in the corners of my trailer. They are durable and work good for ratchet strap use. Mine are bolted to the steel frame in the corners and hold very well when securing SxS to trailer.

So these heavy duty black tie downs work great on the Maverick tailgate to replace the bottle openertie down. I glued a small rare earth magnet to the tailgate to keep the ring from moving , but it stayedflat without it. I do recommend a flat fender washer ( painted black) if you use the original tie down screw.

Very sturdy. They work very well to hang the wet hay in nets for my metabolic mare.

The rings themselves were very nicely machined and sturdy. The screws supplied most likely would be ok to use if attaching the rings to a wooden surface. I needed to attach them to a metal trailer railing and had to buy 8 3/8 inch bolts and locknuts. I drilled the corresponding holes and they were fine after torquing them down. They should have supplied the bolts also. But overall it still is a good sturdy product..

The Tacoma comes with limited tie down points that aren't the most conveniently located. I used these D-rings to add under the bolts between the bolt heads and the washers. They fit perfectly and are super easy to install (if you know the right process to remove the washers from the bed bolts). I actually Plasti-dipped them first to give them a little more durability and sound deadening as a precaution although that was probably overkill.

Search YouTube for "Toyota Tacoma extra D loop tie" and you'll see a video on how these can be installed onto the factory bed bolts for your Tacoma. Works great and now there are more & stronger tie-down anchor points in the bed of the Tacoma. As far as getting them oriented in the correct position/angle, tighten them down all the way and take note of the orientation of the D-Rings. Estimate how much they will need to be rotated in order to face the desired direction. Then back the bolts off just enough so that you can reorientate the D-Rings, compensating for how much they will rotate when tightening again. This might take a couple tries, but once you get the hang of the first one, the rest will be easy to get facing the desired direction.Cheers!

Los puse sobre la batea de una Mitsubishi L200, pero con los tornillos que trae no se ajustaron, por lo que tuve que ponerle unos remaches, quedaron bien, pero tienen un poquito de juego, nada grave.
