I intentionally sought out the Carlon B114R-UPC switch/outlet box because the new grey boxes sold at Lowe's and other stores aren't as good as this blue box. This box is tried and true, and those grey boxes can be hit or miss. Anyway, what I like best out this box is that whether you have a stud nearby or not, this thing connects so quickly and securely to your drywall by anchoring down with the two "wings" that flip up when tightening. Makes wiring electrical for a new outlet so versatile and simple. Highly recommend this box to anyone looking for an old faithful box design and box maker. Can't go wrong here and highly recommend it.

Same as you get at Home Depot. Boxes are great quality. They mount in perfect and I have used them before. It is a quality box that is safe.

I installed a new outlet for a fancy toilet my wife wants in the bathroom remodeling project. First time I've made an outlet and this went in pretty easy. One of the 2 brackets in the back that swing up to hold this onto the drywall got warped a bit when I tightened it, but i think I might have overtightened it. Loosened it a bit and it sits straight and doesn't feel loose at all with the wires and everything going through it. I'd recommend it if you have a new outlet you'd like to install.

I liked the fact that you can put this anywhere. Very snug fit and easy install. Probably took a total of 1hr to do everything and have it working. I recommend this box for any receptacle or light switch.

Very easy to install in a sheetrock wall without tearing out everything. You have to carefully measure and cut out the sheetrock to the exact size of the box. Try not to get right up against a stud or the anchors can't swing out. You have to fish your wires up the wall and feed them through the bottom of this box before you put the box into the wall. The sheetrock anchors swing out as they should to create a solid grip on the wall.
