After careful installation, we were able to get this floor outlet in the perfect spot in our cabin. The black finish looks great with the flooring and the wood. You can plug in your devices and close the top covers — you only see your device wires coming out of the box so it has a clean and sleek look. Highly recommend this item.

The box looks great after install, it sticks up a little higher than I would like. Good quality materials, works as it should. Theo only draw back is the door( receptacle cover) is hard to open and needs a tool to pry it up.

We got sick of cords and decided to give this a try. The product is very nice quality. The installation instructions are easy to follow. The mounting came out like we had hoped. NICE PRODUCT

This product was exactly what we needed! We've been running an extension cord under the rug for two years. I know, I know, that's dangerous, but we had no choice......until now! Now that bump in the carpet is gone and no more fire hazard!!! This is NOT a simple DIY project and you'll need skills and tools that most don't have. If you don't have these tools and skills, you'll need to hire a professional to install it for you. It looks good and solved a huge problem for us!

I was intimidated by this project. I needed to install an outlet under a powered sectional, and didn't want six different running across the floor to various outlets. I have done many DIY projects in my 25 years of home ownership, but had never cut a hole on the floor, from the warm insulated inside to the cold outside (storage basement).I put this off for a while, but finally decided to tackle it. I watched various YouTube videos and gained the confidence. My main advice on this is to measure the placement twice to ensure you are in the right spot, and use the provided template. Once you cut that hole, the rest is a piece of cake.

I needed a floor outlet that would sit flush with the floor, metal, black, gasket for air and moisture seal and outlet sits deep so that no plugs are protruding out to interfere with furniture.This floor outlet ticked the boxes for everything except for not sitting flush with the floor.Quality of build is good. The door is not difficult to unlatch to access the outlet. The rubber seals are good. The gasket is decent.BUT it was a pain to install. It was a pain ONLY because the template provided is 3mm smaller. I struggled to get the box in and sitting right. Wasted a lot of time finnicking about trying to make everything sit right. Eventually got everything sit and install correctly.NOTE: anything other than a standard two prong or PC style three prong plug will not fit into the outlet. Make sure the plug your inserting is a regular style lamp cord plug or a pc style three prong plug.Overall, this would have been a 5 star outlet but Hubbell didnt provide a properly sized template. I am so annoyed.

I'm happy with the quality and installation process. The materials of the box and cover are exceptional. I used short pieces of the electrical wire to align the cover and gasket as I installed the cover. This kept the holes in the cover aligned with the gasket and I had no problem screwing down the cover plate. i.e. the screws did not catch the gasket as another reviewer experienced.

I needed it to place a power recliner in the middle of the room.Solid steel box, easy to install except for the ground green wire that gets in the way when placing the cover on top. A bit expensive but looks nice and works. I like the compartment to hide the plug.

I bought this for my living room, and wanted something strong and I wanted it in black (it goes well with my wood floors). I also read the reviews and wanted with a USB and electric receptor. Though I thought they didn’t mention it in the description one buyer said he got exactly what he wanted with USB receptor…. Nope no USB receptor. ( I communicated with the company, and they were prompt to answer) so I went to HD and bought 3 in a package for 56$ , as I needed one for another area. So perfecto!!
