This review is for Carpenter Square 7 inch Woodworking Tools Smart Square, Adjustable Square Rafter Square Carpenter Tools,This is an black anodized aluminum square. It is 5mm thick, measuring about 7.25" on each long edge.. There are graduations along one edge in 1/8" increments, starting at the vertex. The other edge has 1/8" marks beginning at the edge of a swiveling arm. This arm is also used for rafter calculations. There are grooved slots to allow lines to be drawn parallel to an edge in 1/4" increments. There is also a 16mm hole for hanging. The vertex has a slight (The 90 degree angle is accurately cut with less than 0.005" runout combined along both edges.This is a tool that feels very nice in your hand. The substantial thickness makes it easy to position. I like the movable base stop, which allows me to easily mark, for example 1 1/2" off the edge and then extend the mark across the stock.The included long nib markers work well with the thicker square stock, but a marking knife or pencil will also work fine.I have been using this square in the shop and it is now my favorite square for working with wood.This is a good value for money. Anyone who needs a good wood square should consider this item.

This feels substantial and durable. It is a fantastic framing square with additional features making it superior to the traditional old school square.

I enjoy this speed square with the adjustable and lockable line. Makes it extremely easy to make repeatable marks for cuts on my pieces. Bonus, it has notches where you can put your pencil or marker to make lines in 1/4" increments. Very easy to read with white markings on black background with etch markings so it will not disappear over time.

Works great! We used it for timber framing and having the 12" adjustable square made our lives easier. This square is in imperial which is helpful for us carpenters.
