Glad I read reviews on this I almost didn’t get it because of how small it was. Works amazingly! I can pop it in my sweater pocket or my bag. I can see clearly as well. I bought this just to doodle around with my plants and random things outside due to my adult but child like curiosity lol.

Cute little microscope, great for kids. My 5 y/o is obsessed, and I steal it and use it constantly. 10/10 would buy again for a child or an adult.

This scope has surprisingly clear optics for the price. The mag adjustment and focus knob are also easy to dial in.I'm currently using this to inspect knife edges after sharpening, and for that, it's very well-suited, because the blade spans the clear plastic guard, keeping it at a consistent standoff.Do keep in mind that the focal plane for 60x (let alone 120x) is very narrow, so it's best to brace off something for stability.A couple places it could be improved are: having a lower mag version (maybe 30 to 90), variable light intensity (reflective objects get pretty blown out), and a warmer color light (tends to allow clearer images in my opinion).

I love how small and portable this thing is. The LED light works really well and magnification is fantastic. I haven't tried the phone mount yet, but I'm very happy with this so far.

Trash, so difficult to use. I'll put the lense directly over the object I want to see & nothing, even when trying to focus still nothing. I've gotten it to work once or twice. If you buy it good luck.

I do not write a lot of reviews. We homeschool and bought the 4 pack. I am SO amazed at the picture quality!!! We’ve had nice big microscopes and some ok quality ones and this trumps all for ease of use!! The children and I all really enjoy it. It’s easy to toss in your pocket and take outside ( which is done with caution). It is light and doesn’t feel like it would pack a punch but it does. We caught a flea and could see the blood in its mouth and stuff moving inside its body and its “eye?†Twitching. Completely worth the price and I am referring this to all the homeschool people!!!!

I am an experienced microscope user and own expensive sophisticated microscopes. I expected this to be a toy with a very poor and evenpossibly unusable image. But no-it’s perfectly usable and the pressed glass optics are surprisingly good. The built in light is good too, and the zoom works well. Also, the eye relief is passable, allowing me to see the whole image with glasses on. This is all amazing for a $20 unit. It’s also easy to use.I’ve seen some criticism about focus in some of the comments, but it’s not justified-all microscopes, even expensive ones in this power range have very limited depth of field and the focus on this unit is smooth and has adequate range. The camera adapter works okay, but if you have a multi-lens type of phone like my iPhone 13, you may have to mask the other lenses when using the clip. That worked for me but your phone may be different.I like this microscope very much. I’ll keep in my pocket when out for in the field examinations. I know it will work well for this. It doesn’t have a slide holder, so to use this in transmission mode (see photos) you’ll need to rig up a clip or lay the slide on a light source or mirror.Don’t buy anything else, aka a knock-off. They’re notoriously bad… This is a good unit at a great price. It‘s usable for children and adults.About the slides-This specimen is from a set of 50 professionally prepared specimens purchased here on Amazon. I laid the slide on my LED light and attached the camera clip. I also put a piece of paper over the other two lenses of my iPhone 13. If I was doing this again, I’d cover the light source with tinfoil or black paper with a hole in it, and rubber bands around the slide to keep it from moving around. It took a bit of fussing around before I got some good shots.
