I use this to look at coins , and it sure is better than any of my jewelers loupes. I haven't tried to take any photos yet of any coins , I will have to figure that out later. Price was good , shipping was flawless , the only thing that could have been better is the instructions. They are really vague , but assembly is easy and basic operation is simple . This is the last one I will ever need to buy and glad I made the purchase. I am one of those shoppers that is only concerned about quality and could care less about price. This one is a winner on both of those , I love this thing.

I'm using this for images of coins. My goal is to get a full image of the coin, while also having the capability to zoom in on finer details. With a few tweaks this could be perfect for my needs, but it does fall a bit short. My biggest gripe is that Picture mode does not match the field of view on the screen. This is advertised as being able to take a full picture of a silver dollar. After some trial and error, it certainly does that but annoyingly the screen makes it appear that part of the coin will be cut off. My photos demonstrate this. In the first picture, the coin is not fully within the image on the screen. In photo two, which is what is captured by the device, the full coin is in the field of view. This makes it difficult to get a perfect shot without switching to Review mode and double-checking.The user interface is certainly clunky. You cannot do zoom adjustments in Picture mode. You first need to switch to video mode, change the zoom, then switch back to camera mode. Both issues above can probably be fixed with a firmware update, but I doubt we'll see that given this is a generic device. The instructions are absolutely horrible, but I do think setup is self-explanatory with some patience and trial and error. On to the positives. Screen image quality is fantastic. The magnification is perfect for my needs (the lens is fixed, but up to 4x zoom using the remote). The remote works well and I was impressed with the quality of the base and mount. It is very easy to get into focus and the lighting options work great (one within the lens frame, two on the base).Having said all that, I'm not 100% positive I'm going to keep this. The field of view differences between Picture mode and Review mode are a big annoyance. I don't know if any other options in this price range (~$100) will be any different, so I'm trying the Hayve Microscope Arm Stand that will allow me to place the unit higher than the 10" arm attached to the unit's base. Hopefully this will allow me to get a full view of the coin in Camera mode and I no longer have to worry whether or not I aligned properly by flipping to Review mode. I'll update my review with my results.

This thing is awesome! Don’t be fooled by the smaller version claims. We purchased a different brand first, with exaggerated claims about the zoom and poor quality hardware. It took 1 day to send that one back. And despite their ads, you couldn’t even get a whole quarter on the screen. You MUST have more than 11†on the main arm or you’ll be sorry. The Linkmicro is far superior in every way, well worth the extra expense. Better hardware, realistic zoom, and you can actually see the entire dollar coin on the screen. The remote and flexible lights are a bonus, with lots of additional features. However, they need to fix the settings for using the zoom. It’s clumsy at best, forcing you to scroll through the menus to the video settings, then switching back to photograph the item.

I needed something for soldering jobs and found this digital microscope at your Amazon store, after much comparison with so many other brands, I've decided to lock in my purchase with you guys. Especially due to the feedback on the clarity of the monitor which surpassed what others wrote for other brands. This microscope is worth the money.

I got this for my husband for Christmas last year. He loves looking at coins and jewelry. This microscope has been perfect for his needs. Clear picture, focus, and worth every penny. I definitely recommend and would buy again.

I needed something for my card grading inspection. This thing absolutely does the trick. Zooms right in and I can see every little blemish. It’s saved me money and has paid for itself many times over.

Camera is not very clear, low resolution and getting the lighting right for a clear picture is nearly impossible. It might be serviceable if your only going to use it once in a while for light repairs.Unfortunately I do allot of soldering on tiny components. I had an old cheap Chinese one about the same price as this one for years that was amazing, but I accidentally broke the screen. I should have spent more money and gotten a better one. I regret this purchase.

Gutes Tool zum SMD Löten, die Tiefenschärfe könnte besser sein.
