Caution: A compressed spring can inflict bodily injure, always wear safety glasses and gloves; Instructions: 1. lubricate both main shafts with oil; 2. Align the hooks with the safety pins backed off so the hooks will fit over the spring; 3. Position both set of hooks 180° a part, opposite each other; 4. Push safety pins in the lock position on hooks; 5. Using a 3/4"or 19mm socket and ratchet turn the main shaft compressing the strut spring enough to safely remove the fastener nut holding the cartridge.

Install taller springs j k s two inch lift. At one point one of them did bend a little bit, but it came right back into shape over all they worked great, very quick. You can install with an impact on the bottom

Arrived quickly and worked great. We had to change the front shocks on a '79 Triumph TR7. We were able to compress the springs quickly and safely. The Compressors have a real solid feel to them and will be a welcome addition to my garage shop.

These are way more than I expected for the price. The cast clips with the safety pin is tons easier to use than the bent clips I was used to. Only reason I probably won't be ordering again is because these should last a lifetime.Edit: I did finally find an issue with this item. The latches on the case tend to fall off when fully opened. Does not affect product usage. Would still buy again.

worked well for cherokee zj spring, was pretty rough with it using an impact and it held up fine. i would take slow on a spring that is any bigger though like a spring for a heavy truck, i would be careful. otherwise it held up suprisingly well for the price.

We had bought spring compressors through a local retailer and decided they were potentially dangerous and tried the CARTMAN product through Amazon. The CARTMAN product is solid, with much stronger components and worked flawlessly. Heavier duty and safer than the retail offering we had initially purchased and amazingly the CARTMAN cost less!

I like the fact it comes in a hard case. I have these, but haven't used them as of yet. They seem to be good quality and at a reasonable price. Will up date this review when I get the chance to use these.
