This product is exactly as pictured and described. I bought this for my husbands landscaping business, as it’s hard to talk over the equipment but now we can communicate through the headsets due to the sound quality. The quality is extremely well made it’s the perfect size and the sleek design allows you to wear it without discomfort. And they are extremely easy to use and clean as well.

So far, there are no complaints about these products. Yes, the mic hole is a bit small and the earpiece will block off hearing peripheral noises in whichever ear you use, but that's how these types of products work (unfortunately). I received 10 and have started distributing them as my team shows up during the week. The cord from the mic to the earpiece could be longer but it still works to go over the shoulder and around. The order came quickly and was neatly packaged with the radios that I ordered as well.Edit: placed a second order of this item to support our growing team. The mics still work great but I have a few speakers that do not work. I have contacted the dealer (MKEN) to see if they will provide a replacement).

I have no complaints on these. They all work just fine out of the box, and I can hear great. I can understand what some people say about the earpieces being too small but none of my coworkers had any complaints. If I did have to say anything negative about this product it would be when the guys inside (the night club) use the mic if they don't hold it right up to their mouth and speak clear and loud it's difficult to understand due to background noise, but it is extremely loud. Which isn't really a bad thing. I just bought the throat mic for them and will post a review on that after this weekend.

(Updated review)Retevis reached out to me directly, after reading my review, and offered to replace the faulty microphone that came with my set. Ultimately, I ended up getting replacements for the "G shaped" headsets I purchased instead, but I am very happy with their customer service. They also specifically addressed my original observation of the earpiece size. They are working with their designers to come up with a solution to update the product in the near future. That is nice that they are taking the time to read through reviews and trying to improve their products. I am bumping my review up one star because of their great customer service, and also because the headset audio really is very clear compared to other headsets. Once they improve the earpiece design and include volume adjustment, these will be 5-star worthy for sure! These were the first earpieces I purchased along with my Retevis RT22 radios. My team and I tested each headset when they arrived. All worked perfectly, except for one who's microphone didn't pick up sound good at all. Had to hold it right up to your mouth for anyone to hear you. So, I consider that one faulty. The sound quality out of the tube headset is wonderful. Much better than the on-ear headsets I purchased after these. Voices came through very clear, so I was quite happy with that. I also like the low-profile design and look of these headsets, compared to the bulky black ones that fit on the back of the ear and hang down. The reason for only three stars comes down to a couple of things. One being the fact that they don't come with an extra volume control like the other Retevis headsets I purchased. This might be because they are a different design that can't accommodate it. But, even with the RT22's volume turned all the way up, they were a bit too low for use during a loud event like a Gala. This is obviously an issue with how loud the radio itself sends volume out, but having a volume boost dial would be wonderful for these! But, having a better noise-cancelling earpiece would help. Which brings me to the second issue: The size of the in-ear earpiece. It isn't large enough to effectively cancel outside noise. I had to push on my earlobe to help cancel out noise to hear better. If they included extra size options that you could switch out (like headphone companies do), to accommodate different ear sizes, then these headsets would be amazing and I would have given them 5 stars.I ended up having to order the other type of headsets for my team to use at the Gala we purchased the radios for. The main reason was that everyone was weirded out about having in-ear headsets that could get dirty, even though I had planned on cleaning them and even giving them to each person to use as their own personal ones. The second reason was due to the fact that the Gala was going to be super loud, and we needed something that would give us a higher volume. So I purchased the other Retevis design, which in my opinion, does not have the clarity of these headsets, but they had an extra volume control to boost the sound.I would definitely recommend these if you are not using them in a very loud situation, though. And especially if they decide to include different earpiece sizes in the future. Then it's a no-brainer!

I bought this for my work. The company has clip on mics and sometimes can get in the way. There are a lot of reviews that say the mic does not work and it is true. It doesn't. There are a lot of people that say the hole is too small for the mic to pick up your voice so they make a bigger hole and it is true. It works! Actually I took one of the mics apart to make the hole bigger because I didn't want the drill to hit something in the mic piece and found the mic was facing the wrong way in the holder. In fact they were facing all over the place (so much for quality). After making the hole bigger and facing the mic toward the hole it works great. The plug that fits in the radio seems loose. If the mic doesn't work I just wiggle the plug and then it works. I have gotten around that wedging a piece of paper between the plug and the retainer and no problems. Also because I work around a lot of noise we are supposed to wear hearing protection and the earpiece is too loose to block out noise. I got around that by taking my ear plugs and sticking the acoustic tube in the earplug (because it is hollow) and wow just like an earplug with a speaker in it. The other thing I did was trim the acoustic tube to fit around my ear better. It is in fact cheaply made and the quality control is not great but with a little modifications is can be as good as the more expensive ones or the OEM ones. I bought a set of them thinking some may not work because of all the reviews, but all work and am still on my first pair!

They are comfortable but it didn't take long before they failed to give clear sound. After constantly messing with it to get it to work, I stopped using them and went with the bulkier earpiece that came with the radio.

We got these to go with the Retevis radios for use on a paintball field. These worked excellent. The slim plastic line that goes into your ear was very comfortable under the paintball mask and the sound quality was great. The push to talk PTT button has a nice clip to mount up on your collar. I would definitely recommend these to go with your radios if you are using them in team activities.
