I picked this up to help me in a refresher course for Pre Algebra, and so far so good. It handles mixed fractions, exponents, and most other functions you would expect for a calculator in this price range. It Utilizes the "Natural V.P.A.M." display system that lets you enter fractions etc. just like they are written on the paper which is nice. Not as feature rich as the FX-115ES Plus that I will be getting for my Algebra 1 and 2 class, but it does everything I will need this year anyway. It is worth noting that this calculator is Not solar powered at all. It runs on a single AAA battery that oddly enough is not accessible through any kind of a little clip or anything. The entire back must be removed to change it, which would be a pain if it died in the middle of a test or something. I have a couple of other scientific calculators by another brand, but this one has quickly become my favorite after I leveled the feet on the body and cover:(brand new out of the box it would not sit level on a flat surface, it would rock back and forth until I shortened the little feet on the back). Another feature that might annoy some folks is the lack of rubber skid resistant feet on the unit. It will easily scoot across the desk. I cannot possibly list all of the functions and features it has or lacks, but I can say that it is really easy to get used to how the features are laid out on the keypad. I hope this helps!

Fantastic quality, bought it because it was the comfortable calculator I used during school a long time ago for my younger sister. Easy to use and the functions are easy to access. This calculator helps when doing operations with its intuitive yet straightforward design. You'll be hard-pressed to find a simpler yet complete scientific calculator outside of this one.

This calculator meets the requirements for my girl at the beginning of the knowledge of the functions and be able to perform them in her. Excellent.

I bought this calculator as it looked exactly like my previous one. That one lasted years(like 10+, though its pretty badly beaten but still works fine). I forgot to bring it and thus, had to buy a new one. I mindlessly bought it thinking it was the same model, as the exterior is the same as the old one but the model is different, and has totally different functionalities than what I need. It will be great if the "252 functions" of the calculator was stated so that it'll be easier to differentiate. Otherwise, casio has produced a reliable product.

Unfortunately this calculator is a good as a $1 calculator from dollar tree. I'm using it for chemistry and in chemistry we deal with plenty of decimals. This calculator can not deal with decimal, it only converts the answers to fractions. I don't need fractions.

I bought this specific calculator because the nostalgia I had for my last calculator that I used for maybe a decade. The photos were nearly identical and I was very excited. I was disappointed however when the calculator that arrived looked very different. It has all the same buttons and all the same functions, but I get a little sad every time I look at it.
