If you have a Himmy or a Persian beauty in your life, you need these combs. It is a set. I received the comb with the wooden handle and then another comb with finer teeth and a plastic handle. The comb with the wooden handle helps removing loose fur that is just waiting to become a mat (or mats, please be gentle, the comb will help you find the mat, once you can see it, separate and break apart the tangled hair with your fingers first, once the mat is loosen up, please continue combing). The comb with the finer teeth is perfect for cleaning the delicate under eye area on the side of the flat sweet nose where eye discharge accumulates. It is also a finishing comb which removes finer hair that the comb with the wooden handle might have not removed. Never use brushes and especially flicker brushes on Himmys or Persians. Those brushes break the hair and ruin the coat. If you rescue cats and/or take care of a feral colony the comb with the finer teeth would be perfect to remove fleas (anti flea products are toxic). These gems of combs are very reasonably priced too!

Not recommended for tight matts I wouldn't think. Since my outdoor cats have a pretty thick undercoat that is shedding, this really gets to it without causing them discomfort. I tried brushes (human and pet), combs (human and pet) but because of the rounded tips, and the unforgiving metal teeth, this comb is excellent. I got hand fulls of shed with this comb but only bits and pieces with a regular comb. I'm loving this! The cats don't seem bothered as with the other styles I've used. I have not tried it on matts so I cannot give any opinion on that.

This cat comb works on my 2 short hair cats. Both cats love being combed with it. It's like a massage for them. If they had their way, I'd be combing them for hours. The teeth are rounded so it doesn't stick or poke their skin. Just be conscious of legs, belly fat or anything else where extra care is needed. I also like the round handle. It makes it easier to maneuver the comb over uneven areas. It's more solid than I had originally thought it would be. I believe it will last a long time. I would definitely recommend for your cats and maybe even your dog.

This brush is a godsend. I have a ragdoll who is prone to matting. This brush works like a charm and gets all matting out so easily.

The package came with two different combs and I was only expecting one (nice little bonus) The combs work well, I like the one with the wooden handle best. The only problem is that our rabbit doesn't like it at all, I think it hurts him when it pulls on the tangles (he's a lion head) I still use it only Im very gentle, then I use a brush I have for him afterwards.

This comb works very well for my fluffy long-haired cat. He doesn't tolerate a lot of brushes, and this comb is quite effective at going through clumps before they turn into mats and removing loose fur. The rounded ends of the tines are comfortable and don't scratch or hurt. The quality seems quite good, and the wooden handle is nice to hold.

Overall it's a nice little comb. I liked my bigger one better but this one gets in all the nooks and crannies on my cat. It's easy to use, seems sturdy enough, and actually came with a white comb similar to the wood one. I haven't used the white one yet. So far so good.

This was a great purchase. Goes throggh mats well and comfortable on Yorkies skin and hair and Wilkes just as well when deserting my Ragdoll cat. ðŸˆâ€â¬›

My cats actually love this one vs the typical style where it’s a flat brush, they don’t actually try to kill me now when I use this instead.
