My cat was immediately interested in this item and began scratching . She sits on it and sometimes plays with attached toy.Based on my experience would recommend this product.

This is cute, good quality and exactly as advertised. There is nothing wrong with it, but cats have never had any interest in it at all.

We got this in hopes that it would keep our cat from scratching the couch and the carpet. It worked! He immediately took to it, and he and the dogs love the ball attached to it. I got the green one because it’s a color that cats can see. :)I don’t really think that size is an issue, because when cats scratch, they only really need their front paws to fit on the scratch mat. He’s a big boy, but he doesn’t seem to mind that it’s smaller than him.

My kitty loves this mat it is durable and comfortable. Plus he lioves the little tail and ball. He plays on the mat with his other toys, sleeps on it, scratches his claws on it and he loves batting the ball and trail around. Highly recommend!

My cats enjoy using it as a bed and playing with the ball (surprisingly), however no interest at all in scratching it. Can generally get them to have a crack if I scratch new stuff myself but they still weren't interested in trying unfortunately. Might work better if you hang it up? However I'm unable to safely test that.
