We bought this for our friends who have a cat who likes to climb and sit perched high enough to 'survey his kingdom'. I helped assemble and install the steps and bed above their couch, which the cat uses as a starting point to get to the bed, mounted high on the wall. The instructions were clear. The predrilled mounting holes made it fairly easy to install. The top and bottom holes for the bed are good to get 2 strong mounts into a wall stud. The finish is neutral and good quality.

Product arrived damaged, corners were splitting apart. It was packed in an already opened and resealed box, so it was clear that it had already been opened and returned. Probably because it was damaged.Regardless of that, the wood is unfinished. It's mostly nicely sanded, but there is splintering. It was nice that it was real wood though.

So the good things: shelves seem to be of high quality, look good, easy to put together, and my cat has come to love them all with a good price tag.The only bad thing really: the support anchors they come with aren't great for dry wall.I mounted the top shelf into studs, because it's the largest and what I imagined the cat will be on the most. That is rock solid. Though, I couldn't put every shelf on a stud due to spacing and size constraints, so I used the provided orange/yellow anchors for parts into drywall. The step-shelves that are not on studs seemed to hold their weight, but the anchors had a little wiggle to them and made me a little anxious and probably do the same for a cat. So, I used the spare screws and drilled a screw into the top of each step-shelf. That seemed to do the trick and they are much more stable now.For all those using dry wall, get better anchors or use the extra screws like I did for stability. Mounting onto a stud if possible is best though. My cat also did have to get used to turning around on that small third step, but he did it after some time and he loves them. Preferably the shelves should all be in a straight path, but again, space constraints.

Love this product! It was a breeze to install, and my cat was interested right away. Very sturdy (my cat is on the larger side), and I found her sleeping in it an hour after installing it. ItΓ’β¬β’s her favorite perch! Highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this Cat Cove, and I don't even use it! Haha. It was extremely easy to assemble. Wood is solid, well made, good quality. Nice shade of wood. Looks great on the walls, almost like it belongs there.The instructions made sense, they were easy to follow and had pictograms showing how each piece fits together and which screws to use. Product came with all the necessary hardware for installation. Great value for the price! I will be buying more to strategically place throughout the house.I did picture/expect the steps to be a little wider, but I think they are just wide enough for an adult cat. 10/10 would recommend this product to my fellow feline afficionados! Best pet purchase I've made so far.
