The product was great out of the box until we realized that the speed of the boat wasn't climbing anywhere near what it was capable of. We notice that on the second test that the RPM range was only breaking 2000-3000 RPM. We pulled the cover and noticed that the timer base was stiff to move and as soon as we lubed it, it didn't make a difference. I got the old gasket from the timer base and then installed on the new one and it works like a dream now...

The connections are a little cheap but it works great.

Very happy with product... was chasing an ignition issue... called the tech support line and verified that my troubleshooting path was correct and the issue should be the timer base... replaced it and my engine fired up immediately and ran strong.. very happy with product and CDI tech support is both knowledgeable and fun to interact with. Thanks!

Disappointed with this timer base. The motor fired right up and initially runs well. The timer base rotates nicely until the engine warms up and causes the plastic retaining ring to expand causing the timer base to stick. Trying to figure out solution. Lithium grease did not solve issue.
