Got several different colors and sizes of this to complement baskets. This is very soft and pliable. Easy to work with. Leather grain look on one side, velvet look on back side. (see difference in photos.

I have found that this faux leather is fairly easy to use. I used it to wrap around a stick I was decorating as a magical staff. I used glue to hold It in place instead of sewing but it ended up holding together very well. I used the staff at an event and it lasted the whole day without falling apart. I would have kept the staff forever but it must have looked too cool because at the end of the night I accidentally left it leaning on a wall, and came back only a few minutes later to find that it was gone forever.

Leather is definitely some kind of imitation leather I bought this for making strops for knives. If you have the same idea in mind I would look elsewhere ELW,TOFL,RINGSUN,DANGEROUS THREADS, as this doesn't load up very good it probably would be ok for crafts and what not but just isn't going to work for what I needed it for

Bought this to use as a wristlet but it appears to be a bit too soft. Nevertheless it's a really nice faux leather so I'll still use it for its intended purpose. I'll just use it to make it for myself rather than as a gift.

My wife and I have wanted to make some pieces to match some of her leather lingerie so we got this 1’ thick faux leather. The color is beautiful and will match well. Surprisingly, there are not a lot of tutorials on how do take on such a project so we’re taking it slow. So far the leather strap is working well and is easy to cut accurately with normal fabric scissors and holes punched in it for rivets are fairly easy with a fabric punch. I think we’ll have enough to do a simple chest harness with the 200†length of the strap so long as I continue to measure twice and cut once. The “show†side is a matte finish, which we like, and the underside is soft on the skin, perfect for this kind of project. Fortunately it seems easy to get and in stock more of the time and even in different colors, so if by chance I run out we won’t be waiting long to

Easy to work with. I'm making some fancy bridles for the horses, and this is great if you double it and do a saddle stitch to hold the leather together. It's just thin enough that you can put a different color leather underneath, carve out some of this leather, and get a peek-a-boo pattern (use leather glue if you don't want to stitch for days).

I like this product and the product description matches the material. The material is thin and it does not stretch proportional to that of real leather of the same thickness & width. I imagine my difficulty in cutting the material for various handles is not linked to the sharpness of my tools as the material chooses to stretch when being sheared or straight edge/knife combo. I did find that when cut while resting on another piece of leather the PU material does not move and straight cuts happen. So far used product on 6 grocery tote handles and 4 repairs to my daughters pack/bag. The material sews easy and does not jam my heavy duty machine however the PU surface is somewhat slick and proper hand holds must be used to keep straight stitching. Good product but it has its place in repair or backing material for actual leather straps. You will find the material very easy to work with a sewing machine, pouches and snaps however it can not be finished on the edges with processes such as burnishing.
