I didn’t use these for a ceiling fan. We have an antique floor lamp that has had the light sockets replaced over the years, and the pull chains on the newer sockets were too short (you had to reach up under the shade to use them). Most of our furnishings are antique wood so these fit right in. I had to shorten the chains, but that’s easy with any sort of wire cutter.

Just the right length to be accessible . The wood replaced plastic cylinders that were cheap looking. Now blends nicely with my antique furniture.

The small piece that connects the chains is very flimsy it broke, but the chain and wood are of great quality.
