HOW TO USE
- This is the remote control for the ceiling fan. They should match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan.
- As long as the fan has the receiver in it this remote will work with your Hampton Bay ceiling fans.
- Just remember to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself).
- Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, there is a series of "DIP" switches(4) with a pen.
- Slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote.
- Replace the battery in the new remote and things should work.
- There are 16 different frequencies for the Hampton Bay fans, so you would have to play with the combinations.
- Here are the frequency list:(0 is down and 1 is up) 0000, 0001, 0010, 0100, 0110, 0101, 0011, 0111, 1111, 1110, 1101, 1011, 1001, 1010, 1100, 1000
PRECAUTIONS
- This Remote system is compatible with most Ceiling Fans except those that have built-in and Do not use with solid state fans
- Please note that there is same appearance of remote control with the FOR/REV button, but this is a timer function, the two transmitters need to correspond to different receivers, otherwise the timing and reverse function will not be available.
- The red indicator on the transmitter will light when one of the buttons is pressed.

My original hampton bay ceiling fan remote stopped working due to battery terminal corrosion. Found this replacement verified the fan option as indicated in order to work and matched the code placed batteries and it worked perfectly. Lights and all modes.

I had purchased two of these remotes for both my older fans. I could not get them to work; I set the dip pins the same as on my old remotes and nothing worked; no light, no fan, no nothing, only the indicator screens showed all the settings. I didn't want to have to get up on a ladder, take the fans apart to access the regulator to reset their dip pins to match the remotes; all with the hope they would finally work. Neither did I want to pay someone to come do it for me, and then still to have the remotes fail. So back they went and that was even a hassle too. When trying to return them, I only had the option to return them to Whole Foods (which is miles away from me) UPS wasn't a option, I don't know why, maybe to make retures more difficult. I had to call Amazon for help, they finally got me a QR code for UPS. So all in all, these remotes may work for some fans, but failed for mine.

The product is a decent product if and when you do put a completion to the wiring aspect. However, mine was not compatible due to the fact that the board inside the fan was burnt, and you had to manually spin the fan in order to get it to work. I found it was cheaper to spend another $60 and get one with a complete remote and brand new for 100 bucks. LED with no headaches for 10 to 20 years. !!
