Score and snap is great half of the time, for the other half I use this Rasp Plane! It's awesome at leveling out and making drywall edges straight. Also is very good at correcting 1 to 2 foot lengths where the angle is off by a bit... like a 1/2 inch or so and also very great at chamfering long edges where walls meet a vaulted ceiling. For that I trim the angle very roughly with a drywall knife and then plane it out with Rasp Plane. It happens fast. The other thing is that it is super fast and takes little effort. If you're doing vaulted ceilings, patching or detail work this is a must-have tool.

If you want an inexpensive Chinese rasp tool you can find the same one for less $ elsewhere. This is cast of light metal, probably potmetal. Dont expect it to last long in heavy use. The blade is decent. I like the moveable handle. Didnt like the quality so sent it back.

The teeth do not go to the edges of the blade. There's a solid edge on the blade. You can cut okay along a surface, but if you want to go straight down you can't. I need it to cut a radius against a shoulder, and can't. Stanley blades have teeth right to the edge.

It is sold as a wood working rasp plane. The blade wasn't sharp enough to do even soft woods. The blade is only 9-3/4" long and replacement blades are very hard to find. The Stanley Surform that this is a copy of uses a 10" blade, so you cannot use those blades on this. The Stanley is only $15 at the orange big box store and you would be better off with it.

Lo mejor que tiene es el mango donde va la escofina pero sirvió bien para lo que yo la quería...😒
