For the price you can't beat it. Well made and does exactly what I bought it for.

Used a few times. Worked fine to hoist up and move a forklift battery around. I prefer the chain over the strap due to working around the battery acid. Would recommend this item.

The craftsmanship was better than I expected. In general this isn't much to these but the quality seems very good and I absolutely recommend these if your looking for steel chain slings. I will be buying another set.

chain broke under load. we were using it to lift concrete blocks weighing in around 2400 lbs. well under 3 ton limit. luckily no ones was killed. its a fancy looking chain and would be great if it could hold up to its standard. i liked how adjustable it was but i probably would not buy it again due to it breaking and next time might not be so lucky no one getting hurt.

It's excellent, I can't say anything bad about it. Been using it outdoors and no signs of chain rust anywhere. Coating is decent as well. I've been banging it around it's holding up well.So far for me with pickup truck carry and use, it's just too heavy and 5 feet is too long. It's my mistake for not thinking it out.If you are mobile in a pickup truck or van, from my experience I'd recommend going with a lighter 4 foot 4 hook version for more lifting options, especially if you're using a 4 point soft sling. 4 feet length with 4 hooks and a heavy rated sling, you would probably be able to get close to maxing out it's weight rating. I can use my sling but only for longer/narrow objects because it's square with 4 attachment points. If you have an A frame winch or gin pole setup, as long as it's tall (9 feet minimum if I were to guess), this set seems like a good match. That combo would be perfect for a Heavy Lift/Mobile setup. If you are using this in shop on a gantry with electric hoist, this is probably a good option. If you are using this in a shop with a manual setup, like a lever chain hoist(what I'm using), I'd suggest buying 4 feet chain instead. Typical 8 foot ceiling height with 5 foot chain length and losing lift height with the lever hoist, you might not be able to lift high enough if your loading onto tables or pickup truck beds. 4 feet would bring the lifting height back from the loss with the lever hoist.I just want to emphasize again for anyone building a setup and is unsure. Think it out first, measure and decide on the right amount of hooks. Otherwise you will be like me trying to make it work and ultimately switching back to pulley. Very frustrating

Description states that they have a tag on them to show capacity and it is in the pictures as well. The ones i just received do not have a tag on them. I will not be able to use these on a jobsite so they are useless.

REVIEW: FITHOIST Chain Sling 5/16'' x 5 Ft Double Leg with Grab Hooks | Chain Slings for Lifting 3 Ton Capacity | G80 Alloy Steel Chain Sling with Standard Marking | for Cargo Security Towing and handlingI ordered this set of chains so that my son-in-law can help me lift the engine out of an old car I am working on. I wanted something strong and able to lift a lot of weight but I didn't want anything bulky. This chain is my answer. The chain links are made of G80 Alloy Steel. The 80 refers to the thickness of the two-sided zinc coating that is applied to the outer surface. This is G80 Steel so it means it has .80 ounces per square foot. This is a good coating for rust and corrosion resistance and helps the chain from breaking down, even after decades of use. Because of the zinc coating, G80 is often used near the ocean where the salt can do severe damage. The hooks appear to be strong as well. They open easily allowing quick hook ups.I am confused about a couple things though. The ring looks like it has a rating of 3.14 Tons, which is 6280 pounds. The hooks appear to be rated at two tons or 4000 pounds. I don't know what all this means but wanted to mention it. Since I will not be lifting anything that heavy, it won't make any difference to me. For others, it just might, so use due diligence when lifting up to the 6600 rated working load limit. For my intended purpose, this chain meets all my needs and comes in at a very reasonable price.

I gave this a 5-star rating even though the springs/latches on the hook failed after the second day of use...the bolt used is not strong enough but can be easily replaced.I needed a chain sling that was capable of handing the ~4,000lb blocks that I was lifting off the back of a trailer. Because of the height of the trailer plus the height of the blocks, being able to adjust the length of the chains was paramount.Outside of the latches/springs that perhaps need to be a bit more durable, this chain sling is still well worth the money.
