It works fine, but in order to remain pin compatible with the single color modules and I2C adapters, with pins 15 (vcc[+]), and 16 (GND [-]), the RGB LED uses a common anode [+] and separate cathodes [-] for the red (16) and the two extra LED pins (green/blue), making it problematic to have proportional control of the rgb colors from an Arduino PWM pins as it requires modulating GND instead of VCC.One solution is to use an Adafruit or Sainsmart PCA9685 I2C PWM as it modulates the GND pins.When using a PCF8574AT I2C adapter with the LCD, the GND trace to pin 16 has to be cut off or the red GND can't be modulated, and an extra header needs to be merged on pins 15 to 18 as pictured.

At the time of buying this, I couldn't find exactly what I wanted for any cheaper. Looking around, the price is really good. Other than that it works perfectly, and with some other stuff it worked magnificently for my project I would need it for. I will definitely be buying more of these.

I got this to display server stats without needing to turn on a monitor. All-in-all it is pretty good for the price.Pros: Good contrast, decent refresh.Cons: Line spacing is less than one pixel. This is the only character display that I have that does this. Red, green, and blue all on at once produces a pronounced blue color. (Common for RGB char displays I've discovered).

This RGB lcd works well. The only real flaw is that when all the RGB leds are connected, it is a bluish green color. It should be white.Other than that, it works great. The last 3 pins are the grounds for the leds in order, RGB.
