I use these for smoking in my webber kettle grill and they work great. They hold enough charcoal to last for hours and they are slim enough to put 2 full racks of ribs on and still keep the heat indirect. They seem to be of a decent quality of metal that can withstand the heat. All in all good value for the price.

I like this so much it allows neat clean separation of coals.. And you can use in verticle grills with a little work. to add higer temp. And flavor with additional wood.

Wish I would've known about these baskets earlier, not only will they help in distributing the heat where you want it but also keeps the grill clean, the metal is very sturdy and baskets are well built , in my opinion a must for every charcoal grill.Update : it’s only been two months and this is how they get after a few uses, no water was used , I still say they are a great idea or concept to have for a grill but just need to be built with better materials .

Bought for use in my Weber kettle grill. Perfect for smoking indirect, and finish searing. Has cut my traditional smoking time in half for smaller cuts of meat... very happy with the early results.

This is to hold the charcoal, doesn't need to be fancy. It works the same as Webber, at half of the price.

I was trying to get the hang of cooking with my weber grill. But I found that I had a lot of cooler spots on the grates . So the food was not getting cooked properly. These baskets were fantastic. I was able to place them in the center of the grill and then pour the hot coals in . This helped to create a good heat zone for a nice sear.Also , made it easier for me to create a cool zone too , so that I don't over cook some of the food. Another benefit is that cleanup is a lot easier. Before I purchased this set, it was a little difficult to cleanup the burned ashes from the grill. Now all I have to do is lift the baskets out of the grill and dump the ashes in the trash. I can save the unburned coal for a later time. Awesome!!!Would purchase again.
