This was purchased for a hiking, camping trip to be able to cook meals (hot dogs, veggies, and toast buns and bread) over an open fire while keeping weight to a minimum.It worked perfectly, and was easy to clean and secure to the exterior of the backpack, saving valuable space. The skewers were a nice addition, but didn't make this trip. The wooden handle insert can pop out if forced, so it was removed and secured in a pocket, but does a perfect job of preventing heat transfer when handling the basket around the heat source without requiring an oven mitt or towel.I paid full price for this product and recommend it for home or camping grilling needs.

So happy I purchased! We've used this every weekend since receiving. They clean up nicely, are heavy duty and due to the size and shape of skewer piercing the "food", it holds peppers & onions in place. Amazing! No more veggies in bottom of grill. Nice size too, they perform well.

I’m really impressed by these quality of these screens . You can grill chunky chickens, beef, fish or veggies and easily flip the whole thing over, for even cooking.

I bought this SPECIFICALLY so I could separate the handle from the basket and not have to leave the handle portion on the grill while cooking. The handle frame is made of steel that is so rigid that in order to squeeze the handle together to connect it to the basket (after the basket had been on the grill for 20 minutes)my hand was shaking. A shaking hand, a target area of 1/8â€, and metal that is 400 degrees is a dangerous combination for bare skin. I have 3 burns on my hands. This needed more R&D, product development and testing before it was put on the market for consumption.Poor designPoor r&dPoor testing

Great basket and easy to grill food on our BBQ! I saw someone said the basket kept coming open - there is a metal ring that slides down the handle that will keep the basket "locked" when you are grilling. Veggies and chicken came out great! Two low points - I put the basket on the grill and shut the BBQ lid so the handle got HOT. I worried about the wood part burning. (I should say - the handle *can* detach, but it is VERY hard to do, strength-wise. I can't do it without 2 hands squeezing with all my might.) Secondly, the mitt that came with the set disintegrated when I touched the metal portion of the basket. Why give a mitt that can't handle the heat of the product when it's being used correctly??
