How it works: Any charger (or device) that is plugged into Charge-O-Matic's outlet can be set to power-on for a user-defined period of 1 to 99 hours. After the user-defined power-on period has elapsed, Charge-O-Matic turns off the outlet (and thus the connected charger or device) for the user-defined power-off period of 1 to 99 days. Once the appropriate days of power-off period have elapsed, Charge-O-Matic repeats the power-on period and so on. By repeating this scheduled on and off routine, Charge-O-Matic keeps items ready and charged when you need them, without the battery damaging overcharge associated with leaving devices charging at all times.

Electric Start Generators
To ensure they'll start when you need them to, most portable generators have a specific battery maintenance schedule. Generac, in their owner's manual for their XT8500EFI states that the battery should be, "Charged for 12 hours, every three months." With Charge-O-Matic, turn the hours knob to 12 hours, and the days knob to 90 days. Your generator battery maintenance schedule is done forever. Set it, forget it, and never pull a cord again.

Enhance E-Bike Charging Safety
There are three main issues to protect against with modern lithium batteries found in today's e-bikes. 1. Permanent damage due to extended periods at low state of charge. 2. Permanent damage due to unnecessary short cycling resulting from leaving the battery on the charger too long. 3. Fire hazard due to charge system malfunction. Charge-o-matic easily and automatically protects against all of these issues. Simply plug your manufacturer supplied charging cord into Charge-o-matic. Turn the hours knob to the number that charges your battery to 100% and the days knob to 30 days. Now, your e-bike battery will never have a damaging prolonged under voltage condition because it will be recharged every 30 days; it will automatically be disconnected from AC voltage when the set hours have elapsed, minimizing chances of fire; and it will never be unnecessarily short cycling itself into shorter life span due to having an energized charger connected to it. Portable Power Stations
LiFePO4 powered portable power stations are amazingly useful, but expensive tools. Maintain your investment by following the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations. Jackery's website FAQ says, "1. We recommend keeping the battery power above 20% when using or storing the power station regularly.
2. A fully charged battery can last for several months. However, please recharge it every 3 months to keep the battery power above 50% if you don't use it."
EcoFlow's blog states, "For long-term storage, discharge the battery to 30% and charge it to 85% every three months (products that have not been charged and discharged for more than 6 months are not covered)."

These things are HELLLLLA EXPENSIVE.... omg.... you can get digital fancy pants timers like this from ali-express/wish/temu and other chinese retailers, for 7.99... BUT those all need advanced programing degrees to opperate.. X_X seriously, this unit is easy no-brainer. I can 'not touch it' for 4 years, then decide to plug it in some where else, and i don't even need to read a manual to adjust and program this thing! just push the dial in to start editing, roll the dial to the hours i want it ON for. then do the same to the Other dial, to adjust the DAYS i want it OFF for! THIS IS PERFECT FOR MAINTAINING LITHIUM-ION and NMH BATTERIES! Once charged, these batteries should only receive a charge again about once a month or 2. Or if you want a more regular charge cycle because you change out LOTS of batteries regularly, well you can set it for 24h ON, 6 days OFF. and you can change your schedule for it, in like 8 seconds! without reading a stupid manual, or barely even reading the dials! its just EASY to understand out of the blue. come back to it 10 years later? no problem! its self explainitory!! not like these LCD things that are 8bucks and require a degree in electrical engineering to even read the manual for! X_X; I bought 3 of these. One for the car battery bank i keep in the garage, with all its chargers on it that keeps lead acid batteries topped off through the cold winters (12h-on/5d-off). one for my SHELF FULL of lithium ion and NMH based batteries that need to only be freshened up every 2 months (24-on/60d-off), and finally one for my regular every day use batteries (12-on,1d-off) the latter gives 36 hours off, and 12 hours on. which is about my use-level. its currently May of 2024, Electric bill prices will be higher then in recorded history. These things are going to keep all those trickel-energy-hungry transformers for all those chargers, in check, so my electric bills are lower. every stupid power brick you plug in pulls power ALL THE TIME even when you are NOT charging things! Unplug them all when not in use?? that's a chore.. this product does that chore for you. Attach a surge protector to it, so a bunch of sockets are all turning on and off when it does. Cool beans!

Simple operation. I set the days on 3 and hours on 3. It doesn’t appear to change. I thought it would indicate a countdown.

The timer is difficult to set. The hour setting move when the day setting are adjusted and vice versa. Should be able to set hour setting and day settings separately. Timer works but adjusting does not work as advertised.Update on timer - Danny contacted me about the Timer and sent me a replacement and a return label to send the defective timer back to him for investigation. The replacement timer works great and Danny and his company provided great customer service. Happy with product! Review went from 3 to 5.

Simple little device to save the batteries on all your expensive gadgets. At least it's not getting cooked 24/7 on the charger now. Great for first responders and emergency vehicle equipment
