My Delta scroll saw blower hose that has 1/8†threaded nut broke. I was able to couple it to this hose that has a 1/4†thread nut. Works great.

I use this on my metal lathe for the coolant system. It works pretty well but the valve on it is junk. I took it off and ordered a second assembly which I will couple to the first one to make it longer. I’ll use my own valve.

Not only does this item not shut the water off completely, with the 1/4 turn valve, but water leaks badly around the top of the valve. I tried both items and they are both defective in the same way. To bad you can't give a lower rating than 1 star.

It is flexible but that's about the only thing it has going for it. The valve is extremely stiff, but despite that, it never completely seals. It also has a tendency to leak along the length of it. It is possible that was because I had it bent too sharply but it's not like it was excessive. I bought this to use with my faceting machine, and to get a slow drip I actually have to close the valve all the way. To make it stop I have to bend it so that the nozzle is above the water line. Maybe it would work fine with oils or with something that needs a stream instead of a drip, but it definitely doesn't work for me.
