As an Indian, for a long time I did not know the name of the instrument that crates unique, out of this world sound. I learned from my Chinese friend the name erhu and was eager to learn it. This Erhu seems of good quality and comes with all accessories. I have been playing with it for about 2 weeks and learning the basics. I thoroughly enjoy the beautiful red color of the erhu and the real snake skin that makes the heavenly sound.Note to beginners- There are a lot of YouTube videos on Erhu assembly and tuning. It must be assembled properly and tuned in order to make sound. I'd also recommend a erhu tuner app to make sure the wires are tuned in D4 and A4. Also, the bow needs to be rosined for ~5 minutes before using it for the firs time ( scratch the surface of the rosin bar with a sand paper or something before using it, otherwise it won't wok).

Best string rubs against the neck, strings peg, and the bottom where the strings are connected over the python skin do not have a bridge. I was able to buy the bridge online. I have yet to assemble it. I hope to somehow get that base string from touching the other peg. The rosewood is beautiful. The case is very well-made, but had a funny odor from the plastic exterior. So I am leaving it outside in the sun and hanging out of the elements in the evening, hoping to out gas the plastic.

It appears to have been crafted with care, and it really does look nice right out of the case. However the delicate finesse required to set it up was beyond my skill level. A few bow hairs snapped while placing it between the strings, and the outside tuning pegs kept popping out and unwinding. I’ll have to add chalk to create more friction. The D string eventually broke when tuning. I ordered new stings and will try again. I think I will have to order a new Qianjin, as mine unraveled when the string broke. The case is actually well constructed.
