These work very well. Hold a good amount of weight when stocking is stuffed! They don’t seem to tarnish. Easy to place on fireplace (just as the picture shows you they hold onto the mantle).

you might be able to get it to work.I find the mantle hook has too much of a curve at the closed end and the hook doesn't lay close to the mantle edge. In addition, the smaller hook doesn't hold my stocking up because it's too small for a 1/2 inch piece of fabric.In the pictures I show you two alternative ways to hang your stocking. I didn't use the adhesive because I've had that stuff damage my wall, so never again.I find the hook is well made, not sure if it's scratch resistant yet.

We were looking for a non-destructive way to hang our new stockings over our fireplace and decided to give these a try. These holders are good quality and look elegant - gone are the days of those screw in hooks or command hooks to hold our stockings. They work great if your stockings are on the heavier side, otherwise they can slide around a little, but that also might just be our finish.

At first they didn't fit. So I shoved it on and it fit perfectly! You can also, squeeze them to make them smaller or pull apart to make bigger. They are sturdy and hold up very well. I bought 2!
