The fit isn’t perfect, they are all slightly different so some will fit together easier than others, (not water proof.) Will keep things inside relatively dry and excellent for keeping critters out

Keeps everything dry and keeps critters out! Outer ring snaps on tight. Need to use sledge hammer to get it down! Lid was hard to screw on and off but a little coconut oil fixed that right away. Easy to color coordinate each bucket. They work great and I’m buying more.

Bought these and Amazon white, food grade 5 gal buckets for dry storage outdoors for fertilizer and other soil amendments. The lids will not fit on the buckets—and we’ve tried rubber mallet, board spanning the top that we’ve jumped on, and leaving in the hot sun to soften plastic. No luck, they’re always a little wonky and pop off just when it seems they’re on for good. Even though the tops were tightly screwed on and the lids were on the buckets far enough there was no open space, rain water still infiltrated the “seal,” accumulating several inches of water in the bucket during a heavy rainstorm. I didn’t try these until past the return date—otherwise I would have returned these pieces of garbage!

Once lubricated with WD40 thread function & fit are good.
