This is my first digital pool thermometer and I love it. It's nice to see the exact temperature without having to guess. If you have it tied to the side it gets tangled with the robot vacuum, so you have to let it float around but easily readable from a few feet away.

After a similar thermometer stopped working within a month of receiving it, I took a chance on this one. So far, I’m very satisfied with its operation, user instructions and appearance.

I got this to monitor the temperature of my spa, but didn't realize it was only solar (no battery) so it won't recharge when the spa cover is on (oops - my bad). However, i set it out in the sun to charge for a few hours then put it in the spa and it worked great. It has a on/off switch so when the spa cover is closed i can turn it off and conserve the solar charge. It also has a nice, reasonably long nylon cord which is perfect so i can tether it to the ladder on the outside. It charges quickly (just a few hours in the sun) and has a clear, readable temperature display. You can also easily switch from F to C depending on which temperature unit you prefer. It appears to be well made and the blue/grey colors are subtle and attractive.

This pool thermometer is the first solar I have ever tried and I love it. Easy to read and should never get cloudy like the regular plastic type. Website states waterproof. If it lasts 1 - 2 summers I will be satisfied.

When it goes in shade you get a different reading opposed to sun.
