CV joint clamp banding tool Suitable for ear-type hose clips found on fuel, cooling system and vacuum hoses.
EASY TO USE
Wrap free-end clamps 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch roll band and clip around boot, thread band through clip to tool nose and through winding mandrel slot.
Place a 1/2-inch ratchet wrench on the winding mandrel and turn. When sufficient tension has been applied, rotate the tool over the boot, bending the band back onto the clip.
To complete clamping, fold down remaining band tail band into clip and secure by tapping down clip ears clip.

So far, I’ve attempted several times to use it and it hasn’t worked. It actually broke. I would spend your money somewhere else very unsatisfied with this product.

I've been sitting here for 2 hours, ripping my hair out trying to get them to work. One tool isn't even usable with this kit. It's cheap but you still waste thinking you were getting a full kit. The clamps with it aren't getting tight enough to keep the boot on longer than 10 feet, even with them pulled as tight as I can. I ripped the boot out just from frustration of this junky kit. Buy knowing you are getting a free tool technically, and will still need to buy the right ties, unless you are able to figure it out better than I can

The pliers doesn't do a very good job of pinching the clamp. I had one clamp fail already, and had to rebuild the axle. Overall it works, but could be better.

Factory boot kit came with incorrect sized clamps, but the universal fit clamps that came in this set were a life saver!

Tool is weak and began bending when given pressure to secure band. Crimping tool has flat surfaces and does not grab band, had to use vise grips to start the crimp. CV boot bands worked well and are of decent quality.
