This rest looks beautiful. But it fits just as nicely. The foam is just thick enough, but the curvature of the rest after the shoulder really helps keep it in place. The contact to the violin is also very good. Never seems loose, but goes on and off easily. It also fits nicely in my case beside my violin's neck.

This worked wonders for my 16.5" viola. I don't think you'll find something better at this price. I bought one last year, and I liked it so much that I purchased an extra one. Adjusted it and used it a couple times to make sure it was the same good rest as the first one,, then I put it away and have been using the first one since. Seems like this product will be gone by the time I need to pull out the spare, lol. It was so inexepensive that I wasn't sure it would last, but I think that ship has sailed. If you need a viola shoulder rest and are strapped for cash, definitely buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Beautifully made. An excellent piece that exudes the quality that your viola deserves. Much finer than I expected. And functionally it greatly aids in keeping the instrument in place. Very nice.

It is nice looking and nice feeling. It sits well on my 16.5in viola and does not move during the playing.My problem was that my neck is long so the screw of one of the legs was not big enough.Fortunately I was able to use the screw from my old shoulder rest.So if you have no this problem - it is very good choice.

After 20 years, my kun started warping so I figured I'd try something new. Very impressed with this one, love the soft pad, the folding feature, it fits and stays on my viola throughout all of my chaotic movements.

I think the one sent was defective as it easily falls apart. Additionally, the feet on the shoulder pad are inflexible and firmer material than many other shoulder pads. Not recommended for use in 1/4 size violins as it does not fit probably.

Es hermoso sin embargo, se cae al violÃn de 1/16, de los 4 puntos que debe fijar, solo fija 3, es por eso que se cae de inmediato, ya que no tiene el completo soporte, y para un pequeñito es desesperante.

5 reasons why:1. The rubber grips the violin waaaay better than silicone (kun).2. The real maple wood is beautiful and compliments any violin better than plastic.3. The legs fold up one way preventing it from falling sideways if you move your violin.4. The padding feels nice and just as good as kun.5. It’s cheaper, better bang for your buck!

Está bien bonito sÃ, pero no justifica que digan que se adapta a un 3/4 o 4/4 por igual. Lo intenté en un 4/4 y el agarre es pésimo.La calidad de construcción es a lo mucho lamentable. Una de las patas fue completamente barrida al momento de ajustarlo por lo que debo usar unas pinzas para levantarlo. Esto pasó a menos de 4 horas de haberlo probado. Eso sÃ, la madera es preciosa y muy bien tratada.Si usan violines de tamaño completo, por favor inviertan 150 pesos más y compren una KUN original de 4/4.
