I defret basses for fun and profit. Depending upon the color of the neck, it's been problematic trying to find material to fill the empty fret slots. I have been using wood veneer, but that's become VERY expensive and hard to come-by in my city. So, someone else had the idea to use 2mm (the average slot width) plastic for slot filling. I bought this product, and then used one of those old school craft paper cutting boards - the one with the swing-down blade, and after some trial and error, managed to figure out how to cut the exact height I needed in order to minimize filing and sanding of the plastic. The amount of plastic provided will be enough to fill the slots of many many basses so it really is bargain priced and results in something much easier to use and faster to install than using wood filler, putty, or any other material. I also wanted to avoid using material that would change depending upon the humidity, so this was a great solution.Highly recommended.

The item was packaged well and delivery was quick. I use this item for building structures on my model train diorama; it is very pliable and cuts easily with an XActo knife or straight razor blade. If you’re an architect or just like making miniature structures for whatever purpose, this item is worth the money!

These plastic covers did work for me but wished they were more flexible. I punched three holes on the side to put in my notebook. I noticed cracking around one hole after several months use. I was looking for a heavy ( thick), flexible plastic cover that would last, without cracking.
