My son ordered this for our gutters to melt the snow before the weight of the snow damaged them. Snowed a few days ago and worked great. Highly recommend

We haven't had a need for turning this on just yet like we thought we would. But so far... seems solid. Easy to set up and looks like it will work great to keep ice from building up and forming ice dams.

Clips can be hard to use and tough to make stay in place. Snow can still pile up on top of leaf guards and freeze where not in direct contact with wire. Allows for ice to form against soffit.

Not Hot enough. I still had to go up and break the ice and snow out of the gutter. A layer of ice formed above the wire, and the ice just filled the gutters on top of it.
