I keep milk crates in the back of my SUV for transporting things, and my husband finds them handy as well. However, they keep disappearing. I needed more in a hurry, and these were what I could get in time. The reviews were pretty good, so I went for it. It's the same price as the others I buy.I like how they fold up; you can keep many of them on hand without taking up so much space. They do fit a 20-gallon propane tank. As for sturdiness, I have toted them around for two weeks, and they don't collapse. They seem like they will stand up to frequent light to moderate use and maybe an occasional heavy load, but probably not everyday heavy use.

This is an amazing invention, very well executed. The basic milk crate is an almost perfect thing to start with, so how can one really make an improvement on it's design? Make it fold! And even better ... make the fold / unfold process so very simple that even a basic motor moron (like the reviewer, spouse of the purchaser) can master it first try.Here is a tip. If, like me, you use this as a collapsible bicycle basket mounted on a rear rack -- when it is folded down, it does rattle a bit as you go over bumps. Easiest fix in the world: just stretch a bungee cord across it, and presto-chango, no more rattle.

I highly recommend these crates for anybody who doesn’t want the added weight of something like a milk crate. If you’ve ever moved your things around the garage and the milk crate you can tell it adds a little extra weight. This is light but well-made. I am 100% convinced that it will be easy to transport in and out of my classroom with notebooks in it without folding or buckling. I was mostly concerned that it wouldn’t fit a notebook but it fits, plenty at the bottom and as you can see from my pictures, I was able to stack a lot of things in it as I’m getting ready to go and decorate my classroom. I recommend them in any kind of place where you want the ability to fold them down and store them and use them To transport Things.
