I got two of these cases -- one black, one blue. The black has a more tumbled leather texture but feels more hard and plasticky. It's got a typical music case appearance. The blue is a gorgeous robin's egg shade, and has a smooth leather texture that actually feels soft and leatherlike -- I imagine the green and pink cases are like this too. Each case is exactly the same measurements although the listing shows them with different dimensions. The lid has a net to hold small items -- since I don't plan to use the keys provided I put those with the instructions in the net. The net has just the right amount of stretch to insert things but stay secure and tight. The interior has black felt flocking on each. Records fit in the compartment precisely with almost no room to spare -- I do wish it was a little wider because I have plastic outer sleeves on my records and it is too tight to accommodate those even when these sleeves don't have much excess compared to some -- only about 1/16 inch all around. Without the sleeves it is a precise fit with just enough gap to flip through the records smoothly. I guess I'll have to remove the plastic sleeves which is disappointing. The lid closes perfectly over the records, though I imagine you cannot have anything too bulky in the lid's net. The locks fasten very precisely and securely. Overall these are gorgeous, well-made cases for a reasonable price. I wish they were a tad wider to accommodate outer sleeves, but because these are otherwise high quality I still have to rate these at 5 stars. That they are such high quality and precise dimensions is why they aren't a little wider.

I have forty 78 rpm records with room to spare in this case. I believe it will hold about fifty 78s without an issue. This case is very sturdy, handle is strong, but I'm not going to carry it full of records by the handle. These records are heavier than most.

I took a gamble and purchased this, and Like many others, I found that this won't hold some 12 inch records, even without the plastic sleeves. It did however fit the majority of my collection, had to remove the plastic sleeves though, except one of the double LPs still didn't fit, and had to put them in at an angle, yet the others did... go figure. Other than that, the case is great. Looks good, feels sturdy. So if you feel like gambling, go for it. Otherwise you might want to look for something a itsy a little bit wider.

Bought this container for my daughter. She is collecting vinyl records. She likes that it holds lots of records. It is sturdy and lockable. She’s going to decorate the box. Love it.

This does not fit a 12†record at all. The actual width is 12 3/8â€, the exact size of a 12†record in its sleeve. You have to force a record into the holder, which I did not do so I would damage my record. Absolutely terrible design. Completely useless.

I bought three of these. The first one I got is excellent. It holds 30 LPs. 10 of which are either gate fold or double albums. There is enough room on the side to fit any album. I would give it 5 stars if that were the end of it. However, I wanted 2 of these. The second one I bought is narrower by 3/16†which prevents any gatefold or double LP from fitting in and even most of my single standard LPs don’t fit. So I bought another one to replace that one and that one is too small as well. I’d really love to have a second one but I’m not sure I want to keep buying them in the hopes I’ll get a bigger one eventually. I’ll probably just buy a different brand.
