It features a grippy tip and an angled tip. It is comfortable in the hand, heat resistant and has good reach and visability in use. The special heat resistant silicone tip is ideal for working near the iron while pressing. Works so well! I can hold my fabrics under the pressor foot while the machine is sewing with the perfectly curved point! So glad I ordered this. Nice quality.

Do you have a problem holding a seam open while pressing to hold it open with a hot iron firmly? Well, this tool is held in your "second" hand to hold the seam open as you guide the iron with your good hand. I was really skeptical at first, but after trying it out after the initial awkward couple of tries, I found it quite helpful! Also, the pointed end is used to assist guiding what goes under the pressure foot while sewing perfectly. You can also use it to hold the points of a prairie point apart while stitching to the point on a project, sparing your fingers from being caught by a needle while stitching! Very useful!

My favorite part of this tool is the curved point. Helps with pushing the points out when turning sewing projects right side out after stitching.

I first saw this on a sewing video. I was using chopstick before. This works great. My seeing machine has trouble sewing over thick seams. This is very handy moving the material through. Use it to help hold tiny pieces of material down when ironing. Rubber tip would melt though I think if too close. Just a handy little thing to have.

Sewing doll clothes isn’t for the faint of heart but this little tool makes the pressing of said clothes a lot better. No more burnt fingers from being a little too close to the steam from the iron.

I got this to gather the threads under the foot and to “help†my foot over humps. What I didn’t expect were all the other uses this do-dad has. I use this to count prices of fabric, hold fabric in place, open seams, and hold the seam open for ironing. I’ve also used it to get something that was stuck in a drawer corner and to unclog a vacuum. Who knew it was that versatile? And, it still looks brand new. No more burnt or scratched fingers for me!

I didn't think I needed one of these, but it makes a huge difference for my sewing projects. Feels nice, very handy and I like how the end grips the fabric. Hopefully the end won't crack like some other reviews have shown, but for now it seems like a high quality tool.

This has so many uses, from aiding in pressing tight areas or very tiny/narrow seams (no more burned fingertips) to helping ease fabrics under the presser-foot to poking out the corners of pockets, corners or collars for a crisp edge. If you do any sewing, you really do need this.
