I've used it on a few small projects now and I really like it. I have really small hands (I'm 5'2, 100lbs), and the small still fits my middle finger pretty well. It's a tiny bit loose but it's not a big deal, it stays on for the most part. It's really comfortable and works better than a couple other thimbles I've tried. I hope it lasts a long time! If not I'll be buying more of the same one!

This is my favorite thimble. I can sometimes forget I'm wearing it, because it fits so well... when new. Over time, the leather will stretch out and start to fit more loosely.

I waited 7 months before I wrote this review so I could really use it and tell my experience. I have been through at least a dozen different thimbles before I fell in love with this one. I liked leather but most of the other leather ones had seams sticking out on edges that caught the thread and made it hard to pull thread through without pulling it out of the needle. This thimble has the seams toward the back of it so they do not catch the thread. The leather is strong enough to push the needle through without puncture although it eventually may wear on that part. I love it so much I’m ordering more to keep in reserve. I tried several sizes and decided that ordering the bit smaller one was perfect because after it warms up a little on your finger the leather gently shapes to you finger. I don’t want one to slip off and this one stretched and fitted my finger perfectly even though it was initially a bit snug. If you have had trouble finding the perfect thimble, give this one a try.

I had been looking for a leather finger thimble for ages when I finally came upon this beauty. I blister my finger whenever I do amigurumi and I am allergic to metal so I couldn't use a metal thimble. This baby feels like butter once it molds to your finger; which it does. It's super soft and I was really happy that I went with the small because once it's molding it's softer and became a little looser and fit wonderfully. Now my finger doesn't get jabbed and blistered anymore when I make my little amigurumis. I am definitely buying more and would very much recommend these to anyone who is allergic to metals and to anyone who crochets amigurumi.

Felt a little snug at first but it does stretch a little and form to your finger as you use it (like new leather shoes breaking in). Save your finger with this one, it's good.

This fits perfectly and is thick enough to not feel the needle. It does wear over time and I’ve had to replace it.

I do a lot of hand finishing on bindings and the like and I must say that with all the foolishness that I've collected, this is by far my favorite notion.I have tried so many different thimbles but because I have very small hands (my wedding ring is a size 4) and they all either fall off, don't adjust small enough and slip around or are so uncomfortable I would rather not bother—this one sits IN PLACE on my finger up to my first knuckle and STAYS there! It's fairly sturdy and protective, the leather is a good quality and when my cat isn't trying to make off with it as a personal play toy (!!) it is pretty easy to spot among the things that infiltrate my sewing space when working on projects. I suspect that it will eventually wear out, but I will definitely replace it if it ever does.

This will be my go-to thimble for a long time. I've used it only once and it is already my favorite -- comfortable, flexible and not limited to protecting only the point of my finger. Because leather will stretch over time I suggest buying a smaller size than you think you need. This size small is snug, not tight, and is very secure on my finger. Wish I'd found it sooner.

I bought this in May this year and it’s just starting to get to the point of looking to replace it. I’m an avid cross stitcher, I’m disabled and unable to work due to physical conditions, I’m mostly housebound and cross stitching is my way of coping, I do about 4-5 hours (spread across the day) every day, so I think this thimble has lasted well (plus my cat has taken a liking to it and thinks it’s a toy, when I wake in the morning I often find it in the middle of the floor).I can only use leather thimbles due to allergies and skin issues, I’ve tried many different types and this one is by far my favourite. The leather is the thickest I’ve come across, but no so thick as to prevent feeling what you’re holding, it’s soft but durable. The inside is kind of brushed (similar to suede) to make it more comfortable to wear, I suffer Erythromelalgia, a rare disorder which causes intense heat in my hands and feet, I worried that wearing a leather thimble would cause too much warmth in my finger which could result in pain, but I’ve had no issues with that, my finger doesn’t get hot or sweaty.I have tiny hands even for a woman and the small size is perfect, it stays on as long as I need without struggle and without being tight either, I have short nails and it comes down to just below the knuckle below the nail. The leather is stitched very well, there’s no signs at all of it coming apart, others I’ve tried are glued and fall apart in a month or two. There is no metal plate inside this like in others, but honestly I’ve had no issues with the needle piercing the leather until recently and I have some stubborn needles when my canvas is heavily stitched and I’m filling gaps. It has now gotten to the point where the area I use to push the needle has started to wear and with stubborn stitches the needle has gone through the leather a few times, but the leather is thick enough to slow the needle down so it’s not actually come into contact with skin yet, but it’s a matter of time at this point, that being said any material will show signs of wearing down and weakening after daily intense use so this shouldn’t be seen as a flaw, it’s just natural. For the occasional needle worker this thimble would last years, for those who stitch an hour or two after work, this thimble would likely last a few years, for those like me or professionals it will last 6-9 months which is much better than any of the others I’ve used (and I’ve tried A LOT).I highly recommend this to anyone who regularly works with needles (sewing not medical 😂)

Danke!

Works great and is comfortable. My finger’s circumference measures 4.7 cm so I got the size small. It is a little big but it doesn’t slide enough to fall off, and stays on well enough while sewing.
